A relaxed wine-led rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of Manchester City Centre, a daily changing menu, and a cellar with more than 400 different wines to choose from.

Climat is the second site from the team behind Covino, who set up shop in Chester's historic city centre back in 2016. The team has since forged a reputation both regionally & nationally as a fiercely passionate wine-led restaurant with exciting daily changing menus.

Head Chef Luke Richardson best describes his style of cooking as 'Parisian ex-pat food' - a nod to his time spent cooking in the cosmopolitan kitchens of Paris.

As the name 'Climat' might suggest, our cellar of more than 400 different wines has a slight lean toward our favourite region of all - Burgundy. Outside of Burgundy you’ll find a healthy selection of other favourites from around the world, with wines from small producers, to the more iconic, and all the top vignerons that sit between.

    Wonderful. Eveyone was so welcoming and attentive. Went with two friends. The wine list is extensive and appreciated the effort the sommelier went to to find a bottle for us. Thanks

    I've been meaning to go to Climat for ages, since I read some rather fabulous reviews a couple of years ago, and finally managed to get my act together to get a booking for a special birthday celebration. Fantastic meal - more than lived up to the height with each plate being as exciting and delicious as the last. Lovely service - polite and very friendly without being fussy at all - and the atmosphere was perfect - it's a beautiful room with lovely views, and the food is serious cooking, but it's warm and friendly rather than rarified and formal. A very lovely way to spend an afternoon.

    We went for a celebratory meal and it was such an amazing experience. The food and wine were 10/10. I would love to go back in summer to make the most of the rooftop views.

    I had high hopes when booking but was very disappointed, especially considering the cost. We had seven dishes. Three were not warm enough. Most did not have enough flavor. The only superb dish was the monk fish. The white asparagus had hardly any flavor. The pork loin tasted good but our piece was half fat. The wait staff seemed to want to be anywhere but there. Also, we had to ask for clean dishes when our mains came out. I would not go back.

    Felt slightly rushed. Food was good but Some of food cold. Wine pairings were amazing. Went for lunch. Maybe evening would be better. Lovely views..

    Friendly charismatic staff. Food off the Carte Blanc menu was amazing course after course. We want to come again with friends.
