   First, Sheryl R. our server did a FANTASTIC attentive job and didn't miss a beat, your other servers could learn a few things from her because that's the weak link at City Works. Food was prepared to order and came out hot and in a timely manner.

   Food was excellent for all 8 of us. Service was that of which we will not return. Once taking our order, our server never returned to check on drinks. I had to wait for her to return from the BOH, while on her cell phone, to wave her down, only to get a pretty serious eye roll. We asked to order two bloody Mary’s, and we were offered options, but the attitude continued with “Haven’t you ever had a Wisconsin bloody? With all the crap on top?” I asked to order a side car beer, an ipa, and that caught some serious attitude as well. After waiting an additional twelve minutes for those bloodys to be delivered, I asked if mine (with all the fixings) “this doesn’t have shrimp in it, does it?” The reply was “ Why? Is there a shellfish allergy? I have protocol that I’ll need to do now because you’re just now telling me.” As if my allergy was an inconvenience to her, therefore I reminded the server “you didn’t ask our table if we had any allergies at all”. She just walked away shaking her head at me. I was then notified that the chips from my breakfast would be “a cross contamination that you’ll need to be ok with.” Just sassy. We also never got a 2-bite check back to ensure we were all enjoying our meal, and she never checked back on us at all… not til it was time to clear and collect payment. No dessert offered, additional cocktails. Nothing. We were first time diners, and chose your establishment to kick off our new year, but 8 out of 8 won’t ever be back to this location. Not worth termination, but please let this be a coaching moment… every guest and every moment dining matters. You can fix bad food, fixing the aftertaste of bad service is nearly impossible.

   Nice place. Including tip $90 for two Mac and Cheese and a king pow chicken. No booze

   I don't like that they charge a 3% fee for using a credit card. That is a cost of doing business and should already be built into their prices.

   I bring family and friends to City Works when they are visiting. I have always experienced exceptional customer service and this time was no different. Our server always made sure our drinks were full never having to ask. The one thing that fell short this time was mine and my father’s fish dishes. My dad ordered the fish and chips and I ordered the fish tacos. Both dishes were lukewarm. We didn’t want to bother our server as it was extremely busy at the time, but we were disappointed to say the least. My mom’s burger was excellent (according to her experience).

   We had a lovely server named Susan who was patient and helpful. Food was very good. We had the lunch special which was a good value.

   Menu had changed since we were last there but still found great options. Our server Susan was wonderful. We will continue returning to City Works.

   We came after my daughter’s band concert, around 8ish. I made a reservation just in case and to get my points on OpenTable. We got seated right away at a high top table. Ambiance is nice. There’s a good selection of alcohol from beer, seltzers, wine and other spirits. We all enjoyed our food choices of rigatoni, salmon, spicy shrimp, bbq smoke chicken and impossible burger. I do recommend for family, friends, and work outing.
