Fabulous food, friendly staff and lovely decor. Wonderful regional dishes as well as inventive Anglo-Indian cuisine, such as the lamb rogan Josh shepherd’s pie. Just a delight.

Like so many things the outcome depends upon your expectation. Mine was that this was the Cinnamon Club but at out of town prices. My daughter in law whose birthday treat it was, went for the hyped Lamb Roganjosh Shepherd’s Pie, with its £5 supplement, only to be very disappointed at the very chewy lamb. We were all disappointed that the Mango & Pistachio Kulfi was rock hard. So hard that I struggled to break mine up using a knife and hitting it with a bottle. Having said that the Toddy Shop Pepper Fry was delightful. Such a pity that the meal was let down by the other lapses and the screaming baby, Not much that CB can do about that.

Food was excellent, would like a few more vegetarian options in the mains, but excellent food nonetheless
