I have been to this establishment two times. The first time was great. The service was amazing and the food was excellent. The second visit was not even close. The service was terrible. We had to ask the server to bring our rolls and he forgot some of our sides. We just ended up taking them off the bill. He took our left overs to box up and never brought them back. It was not a busy night, yet he did not visit our table enough. Our food was brought out cold. I was so disappointed. We paid five star prices and received two star food and service. I hope that this was an isolated incident. Maybe just an off night.

Service was outstanding from the moment we walked in the door to the attention we received while dining. The servers (Jason) recommendations were spot on. We were never rushed from appetizer to dessert. The value of this experience assures we will be back

This used to be one of the top places to dine in SLC. We have been here many times in the last few years. Unfortunately the prices have gone way up and the food quality has dropped dramatically.

Squash blossoms were awesome, steaks seemed to all be cooked to preferred temperatures :)

The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff were friendly and kind, but the food did not live up to expectations. The menu sounds amazing, but this was quite possibly one of the worst steaks I've ever had. The texture of the meat was terrible, the temperature was incorrect on half of our order and, even after getting replacement steaks, were still incorrect (first overcooked, second try was undercooked). The delmonico was impossible to cut with a steak knife and even more difficult to chew. The staff tried to make up for this experience and truly were kind, but the food was just a miss for us.

This is an interesting restaurant. It used to be a fine dining restaurant that was a very nice place for a special occasion. A while back they remodeled and it is now more like a small brewpub atmosphere. Cramped, very noisy and decorated like many other run of the mill much less pricey restaurants. The food is still good and and the prices are still fine dining - but without all of the niceties that come with fine dining. Our final cost for a dinner for two (with tip) was over $300, but we were served our “petite” appetizers in square paper bowls - really? Not fine dining all all, just fine dining prices. Can’t imagine I’ll be back.

This was quite possibly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. We had to wait for the hostess who disappeared. The waiter was slow and never checked on us. We had to flag him down each time. The manager never came to our table when requested. Now for the food: my dirty martini was lukewarm, my partner’s glass of wine tasted like vinegar. We started with shrimp cocktail and crab cakes, both were meh. The salad was over dressed and the lobster bisque tasted burnt. It was inedible. At this point we decided to cut our losses, paid our check and left. We will never return.

The server really tried. He was the best part of the meal. The valentines menu looked fantastic so I chose to get a reservation for that evening. The crab cake appetizer was burnt. The wagyu meatballs appetizer was unevenly heated and rubbery like it came out of a microwave. The lobster bisque was burnt. It tasted like smoke and had burnt bits floating in it. The texture was off too like the soup had broke then been whisked back together. My steak was cooked to perfection but the Brussels sprouts were burnt to a crisp on the outside and warm but raw on the inside. My wife’s steak was severely undercooked from what she ordered and the potatoes she first got were black. They remade the potatoes that were this time cold and hard in the middle. There was a hair in the asparagus as well but at this point we just wanted to eat and leave so we just didn’t eat the asparagus. Dessert was ok. Not worth the near $300 total. We have considered trying Christopher’s Prime for years and this was our first and last time dining there. Also the ambiance sucked. I was looking for a high end restaurant for a romantic dinner. All of the staff were dressed like they worked at the bar across the street which I went to after as a palette cleanser and had a much better time. I could have found a more intimate and sophisticated atmosphere in a Cracker Barrel
