   I enjoyed the food and am happy to have this new charming Caribbean restaurant in the neighborhood. The staff were very nice. The cocktails were inconsistent, with some quite tasty while others not good.

   The restaurant was beautiful nice ambiance and the service was great. However my steak was very tough and the food was cold by the time we got it. The place itself was very very cold, which may have made the food cold. They ran out the of the mimosas so we had rum punches which were okay.

   The setting is cozy with a laid back vibe allowing my friend and me to enjoy our conversation. It was the perfect place to be after seeing the Ailey exhibit at the Whitney Museum. Everything from the drinks to our appetizers to our entrees and dessert was delicious. For my appetizers, I had the crab cake, which was perfect. My friend had the pot of steamed mussels, which were tender and juicy. We both enjoyed the escovich branzino that was amazing. For dessert, the hot apple pie was incredible. Only the service was a little slow, but it was a Thursday evening, only one server was working , and we were not in a rush. Chez Omar is now one of my favorite restaurants! I will be back soon and have already started to spread the word.

   Found this restaurant last minute and because of great reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was so so. We wanted to order scallops and the pan seared branzino and both unavailable. I wanted the dirty martini which has Grey Goose vodka but no Grey Goose available too.

   Food was very good. Spoke to owner, Omar at length. Very nice man & generous. The only issue was the restaurant's temperature, which was frigid because the space is landmarked and the windows were too thin to keep out record cold temps.

   Wonderful experience! Food was delicious, service was friendly and accommodating, ambience was relaxing and welcoming! Prices great for quality and portions!

   I enjoyed the attentiveness of the server. The pan seared branzino and Parmesan grits were a showstopper. The noise level was perfect for conversations (soft music in the background made it a comfortable dining experience without having to yell at the person across from you). A point of feedback: the lamb sliders should have more seasoning/flavor and a sauce to accompany them, especially because they were served on a hearty bread with a fried egg. It’s a great menu choice but it could be elevated. Otherwise, everything was delectable and I would come again.

    Very good choice of a fusion of cultures. Portions were great, food was prepared beautifully and the ambience is very intimate. Good place for dates.
