   A fabulous Christmas lunch with exceptional food, beautiful ambience and friendly service. We are visiting from Sydney and so grateful we were able to book our family Christmas lunch at Chez Olivier!

   Christmas lunch - and what a scrumptious lunch the three of us had. The freshest, tastiest oysters, the most delicious thymey terribe, a generous charcuterie board, home made breads, and salmon tartare - sooo good. There was plenty of choice for all food preferences. Our mains of duck breast, beef fillet and scallops were all perfectly cooked and presented followed by an amuse bouche that was both tangy, sweet and very refreshing. Daughter and I opted for creme brulee which was perfect - not too rich or sweet, silky smooth with its glowing toffee crust. Husband had the apple and blueberry crumble which he declared to be “yummy”. All with friendly service. A lovely lovely team who gave up their Xmas day to provide a memorable meal and day for us. Thank you so much, and thank you to the chefs, kitchen crew - and to the awesome magician who provided great tricks and laughs.

   This dinner was unexpectedly incredible! From the service, to the wine list and the food, absolutely delightful 9/10 We had the snails and steak tartar to start - the absolute stars of the show! Then the prosciutto wrapped scotch fillet steak and char grilled eye fillet with the mushroom sauce 👩‍🍳😚👌 And to finish, a table-side blotched crème brûlée that was actually to die for!!!!

   Always a great place to come back to for special occasions - the food is always superb as is the wine list. Friendly, authentically French staff. Our favourite French restaurant in Melbourne.

   As has been stated previously, we have dined at Chez Olivier many times. We have always enjoyed excellent service from the friendly and courteous staff, high quality food and good value for money. It is our favourite restaurant in South Yarra.

   Our meal and experience here was so good that my friend, who was only in Melbourne overnight, decided to stay an extra night so we could return the next night! The meal was outstanding and staff know their stuff: excellent knowledge and advice on the meals and there to top up the glass at just the right time.
