   Service was good considering it was a busy Friday night. Food was excellent. Ambience was quite poor as the lower pub was overrun with 90% men drinking and being obnoxious. And the only toilets in the place are in that lower pub. Not great.

In terms of the layout of our building, we can't do much about it since we are a 300 years old establishment on Grade II listing.    Totally charming pub. We sat upstairs and had the Sunday roast. Very delicious and reasonably priced with generous portions. Service was nice and we were happy we found the Cheaterfield. Recommend for couples and families upstairs in the dining room.

   Very disappointed. My favourite Sunday dinner in London. We are pretty regular here. Fantastic food and fantastic wine list with lovely friendly staff. Arrived today to find the vegetarian Sunday lunch has been replaced with turkey. Had to leave as I don’t want mushroom strudel with no roast potatoes or veg. So disappointed. Love to see a Christmas menu, but so sad to see vegetarians are no longer included.

   Hi Jane, I want to apologise once again for disappointing you yesterday. That was never our intention when we removed the Vegan Wellington from service on Sundays through December. As I mentioned yesterday, it was just so we can help our kitchen team during festive season when they are running with 3 menus a week. We have taking all the feedback received regarding this on board and decided we are going to add it back on the menu, along side with the new vegan option. I know this doesn't make it up for yesterday but I hope that having your concerns listen too will. We hope that you will visit us again in the future.    The restaurant was overcrowded and the table I reserved almost 6 months ago was not in the restaurant but in the bar area. Our waiter was wonderful and kind and made our dining experience great. When making a reservation at this restaurant be aware of where they sit you.
