   Chemistry was definitely a vibe overall. We went for the first time for my wife b day. Everything was good and enjoy the food, ambience and service. Only thing I disliked was we was charge a deposit because we had a party bigger then 5 people. The funds was suppose to be applied to bill but all funds wasn’t applied because 3 people didn’t show last minute but that wasn’t made clear. Only instructions was if no one showed funds would be lost. Other than that it was a good vibe.

   I really enjoyed Chemistry. The food was delicious, the service was phenomenal. They also had a live band that was great.

   Went for my 28th birthday and it was completely a beautiful experience from the atmosphere to the food 10/10 recommend I’ll definitely be back .

   am writing today to complain of the poor service I received from Chemistry Chicago on March 2, 2025 for brunch. I booked brunch here at 12:30pm to celebrate my birthday for a party of 15. The table was setup for 10 which was the original booking, but it was updated to 15 a few days before my brunch. The hostess resolved this after 1PM, and set us next to another birthday party of 15. The problem was that our waiter was the only waiter helping both of these large parties. My guest waited over an hour for drinks. I have experienced Chemistry for Dinner several times with great service which is why I decided on this location for brunch. Not only did we receive poor service, but also was still charged a 20 % gratuity and an entertainment fee. I, the birthday girl, had to pour water for my guest seated at the table because we had no waiter. After spending $243 for gratuity, for poor service...I also ended up going to the bar to order drinks for myself, because I came here to have a good time, but the lack of service was so profound. I believe in supporting black businesses however customer service matters. Outside of apologies, nothing was offered for the poor service received. I would have rather them not increase the party size if there are not enough staff available to accommodate. I am most annoyed that I wasted my birthday at a brunch that had poor service. Your website states you are known for its celebrations, and my special day was not as anticipated due to the poor service and lack of attention to our party. We were also asked to leave at exactly 3pm before finishing our drinks that took an hour to receive... I trust this is not the way Chemistry Chicago wishes to conduct business with valued customers—I have been a patron since 2022 and have never encountered such treatment before. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss matters further and to learn how you propose to prevent a similar situation from recurring. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hostess was not welcoming and that was a turn off, when i was seated I asked move back one table and was told the empty table was reserved. It wasn’t a booth or in a special section jt was just an empty table that was not in a premium section. And it was less about the fact it was “reserved” more her tone and dismissive attitude that was a a turn off for me. Won’t likely return.
