From Back Home Hospitality comes Che Fico Parco Menlo, an evolution of Che Fico specifically created for the Peninsula located at Springline in Menlo Park.

Che Fico Parco Menlo takes inspiration from its critically acclaimed sister restaurant in San Francisco while adding new creations to its menu of Italian fare with California influences. Dishes of hand-rolled pasta, naturally fermented sourdough pizza, antipasti, meat, and fish celebrate the team’s’ passion for Italian cuisine and their dedication to using the best seasonal products from farmers and purveyors in the Bay area.

With a vibrant design by Jon De La Cruz, Che Fico Parco Menlo will be the premier destination for both business and social events with private dining options for up to 70 guests. In addition to the dining room, there is an all-season outdoor patio covered by a custom-built pergola with fans for summer nights and heaters for Menlo park 'winters'.

Service was slow, communication was poor: they decided not to serve pizza at all for the day because the chef wasn’t happy with the sough (?) but were conveniently not telling anybody this until they tried to order a pizza. Shady move to avoid people bailing in their reservations. Took 30 minutes from being seated to being able to put in anything but the initial drink order. At this level of price, none of this is acceptable

After really looking forward to our return experience: I think the lesson learned is not to come on a busy holiday weekend. It was packed. We waited for at least 15 minutes with a reservation. Lesson learned about bar sitting too The pork chop was very very fatty and our butter beans ( which we love) we very uneven in their cooking. The bar staff ( where we sat) was really inattentive and we like them. Had a great time last time with them. I had to wait for quite a while for just water - then to add sparking water and then to order drinks and then to order more drinks and to get spoons to eat our dessert with. I mean c’mon- we were right in front of you 🫣 We like the staff and the food but overall this was not very encouraging to return when we didn’t love it and it’s not a cheap meal (300$) for three of us with two entrees and a veg. That’s a lot. Anyway - I love the city Che Fico and will probably go there instead. Best of luck - Menlo Park seems to love you.

As someone who has never felt compelled to write a restaurant review in 27 years, I regret that my first one has to be negative. My girlfriend and I dined at Che Fico Menlo for the first time on Valentine’s Day, hoping for a memorable experience. Unfortunately, the evening fell short in multiple ways. The service was underwhelming, and the food quality did not meet expectations—especially given the steep price of the fixed menu. The appetizers were very bland, the pasta was overcooked, and the chocolate cake tasted store-bought. The only item we truly enjoyed was the gelato. To make matters worse, we were seated in a back room, separated from the main dining area, which diminished the ambiance we were looking forward to. Having dined at many high-end restaurants, we can confidently say this meal was not worth the $500 price tag. We had high hopes for Che Fico, but sadly, it did not live up to them. We will not be returning.

We went for Valentine dinner and the place was almost full and not crowded. Surprisingly there were a few open tables. For Valentine they had a fixed menu at $199 pp. Outdoor patio ambiance was comfortable and cozy. It was a friendly crowd and good vibes. They had plenty of heaters to keep you warm. The dining experience felt rushed, with all the small plates from the fixed menu arriving at once. We had a small table, and it felt overcrowded, and the lack of pacing made it hard to focus on any one dish. The focaccia and scallop crudo were tasty, and the mushroom lasagna was delicious, standing out as highlights of the meal. However, the striped bass lacked flavor, was overcooked, and came out dry. The wagyu tenderloin was rare but I was okay with it. Overall, while the food had some strong points, the chaotic timing left the experience feeling more overwhelming than enjoyable. Maybe another time might be a better experience for us especially for the price they charged.

The ambience is ok but the food is pretty terrible. Go to DoppioZero, for example, for italian food. Much better.

Everything was top notch! We were fortunate to be seating in their room that is separate from the main room, because the noise level was low. It was much noisier in the main room.

Not my kind of pizza - too much tomato sauce and also uncooked mushrooms.
