   Be careful to ask about pricing before you order. The menus are very old, and in some cases, the prices are 80% higher than listed on the menu. Our waitress failed to tell us this when we ordered. While the food is delicious and the ambiance is very nice, $32 for a turkey sandwich on a croissant is way too much above a reasonable price. However, in good faith, the restaurant's manager refunded us the difference since we were not informed ahead of time.

   We’ve been coming to chat noir for a handful of times every year and usually enjoy the atmosphere and food. Tea service was nice, scone and pastries are always a hit. Waiter was nice. Something was off with the food this time around, from the breakfast sandwiches, the bland fish and chips to the burnt quiche. Even though the waiter offered to exchange the quiche for something else, the food experience was underwhelming. This was a birthday celebration and I felt embarrassed for bringing our friends there.

   What a beautiful restaurant. So warm and welcoming. We were there for the tea service and it was amazing. Extensive list of teas to choose from and the food amazing! Finger sandwiches, scones and pastries plentiful for two! Can't wait to go again and try other items on the menu.

   The afternoon tea service was pricey at 88 dollars for two but they apologized saying costs had gone up . Otherwise we had a wonderful time there.The service was friendly and Davina our server was attentive and very pleasant and helpful . We have been to the Chat Noir twice and thoroughly reccommend it to everyone!

   Excellent service. We had a pleasant time. It was easy to make a reservation. There was a reason for us to doubt if the reservation would be honored: We visited here around Covid and a few times in 2021-22 when it was impossible to make a reservation. Never had the luck with walk-ins either back then.

   Took over an hour for us to get any of our order including the tea. There was a hair in one of the entrees. Overpriced, overrated.

   Our group of seven greatly enjoyed our meals! The service by Joli and Lisa was perfect. The atmosphere was perfect. Thank you for an enjoyable lunch.

   The staff were very nice but they were completely short staffed. We were promptly seated but after ordering it took 1.5 hours to get our order. I had the bacon quiche which was delicious but my friends toad in the hole was not cooked (egg whites were still clear and not cooked). I had a cup of coffee but could not get a refill for an hour & 45 mins. There was a sign on the door the prices had increased but was very surprised to see the bill was $90+ before tip. Toad in the hole was $30 the little quiche was $37 with tax. Aside from those entrees we had coffee & tea. The menu prices were significantly lower around $20 per entree so it was a surprise. Cute place but for those prices, I’ll pass.
