   After being seated at 5:45 and placing our order around 6 p..m., telling the waitress we had to leave by 7:30, we waited until 7:10 for our meal. The restaurant was not full, nor would that be an excuse. I told the waitress that we don't like additional pepper in our food. Both items (linguine and sea food and a sea food crepe) came with lots of black pepper and mediocre at best. Now it's possible the pepper was not additional - could have been cooked that way. Don't you think it was her job to tell us that when we first ordered? We would have definitely changed our choices.

   I had made a reservation two weeks ago and when we got there, the restaurant was closed. My daughter and I were disappointed.

   We made a reservation for this past Monday February 27 at 12:30 and the place was closed!!! I was able to make a reservation on open table the website shows it is open on Mondays and nothing!! If you are closing for a holiday, notify Open Table! I am sure I could not have been the only one to show up.

   I had a reservation for Valentine's Day. We arrived shortly before the time. There were two couples waiting and it was past their reservation time. It was at least 10-15 minutes before a "hostess" "greeted" us. The hostess looked like she was on crack and was so hoarse, it was difficult to realize that she was telling us that there would be a wait. We left. Although I have checked food and ambience, I needed to check those boxes in order to post. We did not stay so I cannot comment on the food or ambience.

   It was Valentine’s Day and it was a special menu which we were unaware of. We had a 7:30 reservation- got there at 7:25- we waited until 7:45- with 4 others who were waiting as well. I had to ask if there was a maitre d to seat us. It took another 5 minutes before we were seated. As we looked around people looked like they were waiting a long time for food and looked annoyed. As we were about to sit down the people next to us said don’t bother- food was lousy and service was really bad- we decided to leave and go elsewhere.

   Very disappointing Valentines Day dinner at Chat Noir. We were told that only the “Special Menu” was being used and did not include French Onion Soup yet couple at the table next to us was clearly eating French Onion Soup! We waited at least an hour for our dinner. When it came the chicken was ice cold and inedible! It was Lemon Chicken which was an undercooked chicken filet with congealed sauce piled on top. Our server mentioned that our bill would be adjusted due to the inordinate wait but then later forgot about it and was most ungracious when reminded! I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning!

    This was Valentine's night. Maybe they're not used to a crowd in the evening. The service was lovely and our waitress was very attentive and sweet. It was a special and limited menu which was disappointing. My husband had been looking forward to choices on their regular menu. They had a surf and turf listed. He doesn't eat surf so requested just the filet. The chef agreed to do that. I ordered the duck. Neither was eatable. The waitress was kind and took the duck off our tab - she said everyone was complaining about it. The mashed potatoes on the plate were cold. Dessert was delicious. We ordered one dessert, but the waitress brought two, only charging for one. As we left she handed us a box with 4 chocolate covered strawberries in it. A very sweet gesture that had us leaving the restaurant feeling happy in spite of the bad food.
