Chartier is a rustic, French-Canadian restaurant located in the heart of Beaumont, AB. The menu, created by Head Chef Tamara Solon, is an elevated take on rustic French-Canadian favourites; made with love, care, and extraordinary amounts of butter. Our food is for everyone. Not frilly and pretentious, just wholesome local ingredients that taste amazing and fill your belly.

Chartier was named the Best New Restaurant by Avenue Magazine in 2016, one of the top 10 Best New Restaurants in Alberta by the Globe and Mail, and made the long list for the Best New Restaurants in Canada by enRoute Magazine. Most recently, it was featured on Food Network Canada’s Big Food Bucket List starring John Catucci.

For an enhanced experience, consider adding optional wine pairings for an additional $40/person. For any dietary restrictions or food allergies please email tamara@dinechartier.com prior to booking to confirm your restrictions can be accommodated. 2 hour seatings are available at 5:00-5:30, 7:00-7:30, and our final seating of the evening with no set end time 9:00-9:30.     Take a paddle through the Alberta producers we support without ever leaving your table. We're excited to welcome back the Canoe Trip - a once-a-month six course tasting menu designed for those who like to try "a little bit of everything" when they go out for a special meal. The cost is $90/person + GST and gratuity, with drink pairings available for an additional $40 (non-alcoholic drink pairings are also available) All you have to do is sit back, relax, & enjoy your evening as we guide you through "the best of Chartier". Please email tamara@dinechartier.com to discuss allergy/dietary restrictions prior to booking. The canoe trip is offered on the first Thursday of every month only.

    Bringing you a little bit closer to where your food comes from is our #1 goal at Chartier. One of the ways we do this is with our monthly producer dinners, where we showcase one of our local partners in a carefully curated 5 course menu that focuses in on their incredible products. We invite them in for the evening to storytell, educate, and connect with diners - offering a unique opportunity to meet the beauties behind the bounty. On Friday, January 10th we’re excited to welcome Nicola and Alan Irving - proud owners of Irvings Farm Fresh in Roundhill, AB. Their Berkshire pork is unparalleled, and Chef Tamara will be using it in all five courses offered throughout the evening. Tickets are $75/person, we hope to see you there!

    Overal quaint but asked for chicken burger no bun . Got beautiful piece of chicken with some melted cheese and a piece of bacon . They forgot fries , not lettuce or any trimmings . Onion soup was great . Wine was good . Overal meh .. very expensive for what it was

    Excellent food, staff and service as usual. Menu is short and sweet but clearly aimed at quality over quantity. We always enjoy the quaint charm and unique character the venue offers. Chartier is hands down the best restaurant in town, it’s always a pleasure to bring new friends and family to share the experience with.

    The food was absolutely amazing! Our server, Sabrina, was so great at helping us decide on menu items and there were so many gluten free options. Celiac safe and my daughter said it was the best food she’s ever had.
