Chartier is a rustic, French-Canadian restaurant located in the heart of Beaumont, AB. The menu, created by Head Chef Tamara Solon, is an elevated take on rustic French-Canadian favourites; made with love, care, and extraordinary amounts of butter. Our food is for everyone. Not frilly and pretentious, just wholesome local ingredients that taste amazing and fill your belly.

Chartier was named the Best New Restaurant by Avenue Magazine in 2016, one of the top 10 Best New Restaurants in Alberta by the Globe and Mail, and made the long list for the Best New Restaurants in Canada by enRoute Magazine. Most recently, it was featured on Food Network Canada’s Big Food Bucket List starring John Catucci.

    One of our (many) favourite Beaumont events is just around the corner - the annual Beaumont Society School of Dance Daddy Daughter Dance! The official date that stands the test of time is dinner & dancing, which is why we’d like to formally invite our local dads to treat their little lady to an evening at Chartier before the big dance. Bookings joining us before the dance can book our "Daddy Daughter Date" experience to receive one of our signature handheld sandwiches with a beer of choice for dad, a kids meal and a fancy drink for the miss, and a dessert to share, a rose waiting at the table, and a polaroid to commemorate the evening for $60 + GST & Gratuity (extra littles are $15 each).

    Floral, sweet and sticky. Could there be a better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day? This year, we're featuring a honey themed menu ft. Parkland County’s very own Good Morning Honey on Thursday, February 13th & Friday, February 14th. Chef Tamara Solon is curating a five course dinner that incorporates creamed honey, flavoured honey, honeycomb and bee pollen into both sweet and savoury presentations. The price is $95 per guest, with optional drink pairings available for an additional $40 per person. Tickets are non-refundable. Please email tamara@dinechartier.com for allergy dietary restriction requests prior to booking.

    The food and service were outstanding! The sour dough bread is spectacular with the whipped maple butter melted into the warm bread. The fried chicken sandwich had amazing flavor and was substantial, no need for dinner tonight!

    Ouch! We're so disappointed to hear that the NYE dinner wasn't what you anticipated Denise - we tried to touch as many tables as possible that evening and received overwhelmingly positive feedback, but clearly something went awry here. I'm going to reach out to you privately to learn more!

    The seafood nights food was very disappointing in flavour. My partner and I thought that Chartier should have stuck with the classics. For $95 for those 5 small items was not at all value or taste.

    Dannnnnnng, this sucks Rebecca. We're so sorry to hear that the NYE wasn't what you anticipated. We had many happy tables asking for boxes to take home what they couldn't finish, so the portion sizes in relation to value and taste sure caught us by surprise. Something clearly went awry, and I'd love to learn more....I'll be reaching out privately to chat!

    Overal quaint but asked for chicken burger no bun . Got beautiful piece of chicken with some melted cheese and a piece of bacon . They forgot fries , not lettuce or any trimmings . Onion soup was great . Wine was good . Overal meh .. very expensive for what it was

    Excellent food, staff and service as usual. Menu is short and sweet but clearly aimed at quality over quantity. We always enjoy the quaint charm and unique character the venue offers. Chartier is hands down the best restaurant in town, it’s always a pleasure to bring new friends and family to share the experience with.
