   The restaurant was overbooked, and our table was an hour late. The filet mignon was raw in the middle twice. And they overcharged us at the final bill. Too bad for such a good location and the service personnel, because this could’ve been a great experience. Not.

   Lovely Lovely restaurant, service was excellent, and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend the prime rib. They were patient with our questions and provided excellent service.

   I’ve eaten at other Chart House locations before, this one unfortunately fell short. We had a reservation for 6:00 the evening of Christmas, arrived on time. But we were told they were behind and we would not be seated for approximately 30 minutes. The restaurant felt like a madhouse with people waiting everywhere (practically spilling out of the waiting area). When I inquired the restaurant said they had some larger parties stay longer than anticipated celebrating. The 30 minute prediction was accurate, we got our table around 6:30. Our server was very nice, and the issues seemed to be beyond her control. My dry martini had vermouth and had to be sent back. Time between our starter and entree was nearly half an hour. Once it arrived my partners prime rib was cold. The people sitting across from us who were seated and ordered after we did finished their dessert and left before we received our entrees. Our server handed the food issues really well. But a restaurant like this I would have expected these things not become issues. The food quality was good enough once those issues were ironed out. But not how I remember past Chart House dining experiences.

   Always one of our favorite restaurants! Great service, food and ambiance, been our Christmas tradition every year for 11 years but we love going all year long. Great views also! Jimmy the general manager is the best, always coming around to make sure everything is great !

   We have dined at Monterey Chart house on Holidays and this Christmas dinner did not disappoint. Food was outstanding. Service was good for as busy as they were.

   Great dining and ambiance. Wait staff and front of house personnel are top notch. Even with being in a high tourist area this restaurant delivers a five star experience at a reasonable cost. And they have been here for 45 years. We have been customers since opening. Who would have thought… Keep up the good work!

   An excellent dinner and fabulous service! I ordered the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. Best ever key lime pie for dessert.

    Came here for an early Christmas Dinner. Asked for a table with a view and received it. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table despite having a 1pm reservation. This was not the level of service I remember from Chart House but it was no problem. The bar was open so we decided to have a drink before getting our table. Service was good, though at times things seemed to take a bit longer. Server was nice but kinda messed up my $25 specialty cocktail not once but twice...I can overlook this as this is not something that should be done in front of table. The expert bartender should be preparing the drinks...anyway...the meatballs with whipped ricotta were delicous..the gruyere with mushrooms bruschetta on the other hand was not and not worth the price either! The bread should have been toasted but had no crunch it was really a let down. The main dish though, Chilean Sea Bass on Lobster risotto was phenomenal. Well cooked piece of fish with great accompaniments. The Lobster Bisque was amazing and rich! The mini lava cake was a disappointment but I should have known better. Alotnif restaurants have chosen the cheaper version of lava cakes. While I did enjoy my time there were minor issues which is why I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars. Would I come back next year for Christmas? Yes I would
