   The steaks were excellent. The potatoes were cold and the salad was mediocre. The service was very bad compared to Ruth’s Chris, Capital Grill or Folks Folly (which is a higher level of restaurant IMO). I was very surprised that on Valentine’s Day they didn’t even say happy Valentine’s much less do something for the customers. I won’t go back to this location but might try Huntsville some day.

   Ja was our waiter and he was so kind and very attentive. It was Valentine’s Day and Char was busy, but we never felt neglected. The crab cakes were amazing as always… my steak entree was perfectly cooked. My husband’s duck was a little more rare than he wanted but we were pleased nonetheless. We will be back!

   My husband says Char has the best steak in town. Always cooked the way he likes it. Personally my favorite is the Spinach and bacon crisp on the starter menu. Next time will order as main course. Try it you will like it.

   We ate here at lunch for Valentine’s Day with another couple. The food was amazing, the service was perfect and the environment was quiet enough to have great conversation. Perfect!

   Char is always a great choice, from date night to brunch after church to working lunches. The service is always top tier and they execute simple dishes very well- it’s one of a handful of spots where I’ll order the gumbo. :)

    The staff were very friendly and welcoming! Our server was great! I ordered lamb chops which were cooked to perfection. My boyfriend ordered the New York strip and the flavor was definitely all there!! I did not like the Mac and cheese though. There was literally no flavor and no seasoning, but it was cheesy and cooked well. It was very noisy which for the environment, I wasn’t expecting. Overall, it was both of our first time there and we enjoyed our experience with you all.
