We had a fabulous lunch at Chado Tea Room in Torrance. We had the salmon salad, vegetable panini, and the Chiken Tikka Masala. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. And all of us had various versions of the chai tea. Everyone loved it. Thank you so much for the experience! We will be back!

Terrible service!!! Had to ask the server three times for cold water, asked her two times for hot water for the teapot, and she never came over to us to ask how we were doing. The sandwiches were horrible! Who wants a sandwich made from cold toasted bread? I had a stomach ache for two days after eating there. And to top it off, I was overcharged $5.50 which I just noticed on my credit card. I have a feeling she changed my tip. The bathrooms were disgusting. I have been to many other restaurants to have tea/lunch, and this was the worst experience ever!

Unfortunately there was a big piece of plastic in the egg salad. and the scones were not traditional scones not warmed either

I’ve been to tea rooms all over the country, my mother in law who was my guest works at a high end tea room in New Mexico and we were both seriously underwhelmed. The atmosphere wasn’t that of a cohesive tea room but felt like a dusty storage facility for china, we sat adjacent to the non working fountain which was covered in dust. The restaurant smelled of cleaner, a huge turn off to me, it smelled like I’d just cleaned my toilets 😫 Service was extremely slow, the place wasn’t even half full and questions or requests for salt and pepper were met with a cold hesitation. Tea was mediocre at best, we ordered an Earl Gray and had to ask for sugar and cream which we waited at least 20 minutes for causing the cup poured for us to go cold. The tea seemed over steeped and bitter. We both ordered salads, her Waldorf was good but lacked pepper (which we requested twice and never came) and my Caesar was drowned in dressing and soggy. We both ordered a scone with clotted cream and lemon curd, lemon curd was great and the scones tasted like vanilla wafers with an overwhelming vanilla extract. For $76 lunch I should have taken her to one of the many great restaurants in the riviera with good ambiance and fantastic food.

Wonderful experience! We sat for hours and they were incredibly cordial. Server was very unobtrusive. Excellent experience. Wonderful tea and scones. Definitely will go again.

Even though the tea was lovely, they did not have vegan options for afternoon tea. I made a reservation for two and asked for vegan options, I called the day before and explicitly asked if they had a vegan option for afternoon tea, and was told yes. We arrived on time only to discover that they indeed do not offer a vegan afternoon tea. The options were a $17 unimaginative salad and a $16 boring "panini" with a salad (spinach leaves and balsamic vinaigrette). I chose the "panini" which consisted of toasted wheat bread with cooked bell peppers and onion, that's it. The one thing I appreciated was that they did have almond milk (surprise!). The server was nice and attentive who apologized for lack of choices. If I were to come back, it would be to buy tea and accessories, only.

Food is okay. Service is okay. Not great but not bad. It’s just meh. The location can use some TLC. A little disappointed as I’ve been to the other Chado locations and their ambiance doesn’t compare. Won’t be returning to this location any time soon.

We enjoyed a lovely Bridgerton Tea service. The white gloves and tea cup with saucer were an added bonus! Loved the whole experience!
