I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times before and usually had a good experience. Unfortunately, this was the first time I left extremely disappointed. It was a Thursday night, and there were plenty of open tables. Yet we were first seated next to the bathrooms. When we asked to move, we were shown to an even worse spot—crammed between two other tables just inches apart. When we asked, “This is the better table?” they eventually sat us at a high-traffic archway near the entrance, where servers kept bumping into our chairs the entire night. I felt embarrassed to ask for yet another change, but both my date and I were far from comfortable. For what it’s worth, even after we finished our meal, many of the tables—especially the ones by the window we had initially requested—were still unoccupied. I understand servers have designated areas, but our server was already handling those tables, so it didn’t make much sense. The cocktails were below average. I’d recommend sticking to sparkling water or wine—avoid anything mixed or prepared. Still, I had high hopes that the food quality hadn’t changed. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. After a long wait (including an undercooked pizza), I was served a veal Milanese that was one of the worst dishes I’ve ever had at a restaurant. It was somehow both extremely dry and overly oily, with a strong, unpleasant smell. Honestly, it reminded me of an overpriced, overcooked fast-food chicken nugget—and I couldn’t manage more than two bites. For the first time ever, I mentioned this to the waiter when he had asked how the food was. He wanted to bring someone else, but I didn’t want to make a scene. I kindly asked for the check and paid $280 including tip for one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Unfortunately, I won’t be recommending this location to anyone anymore.

I've been a loyal customer for over three years, and I've noticed some changes that I'd like to share. While the food is truly amazing, I've observed that the portion sizes have been decreasing, which feels a bit disappointing given the prices. It would be helpful if the restaurant could consider maintaining their portion sizes to ensure a better value for consumers. Additionally, I find it a bit surprising that I need to ask for bread. It would be nice if it were offered automatically, as it enhances the dining experience. On my last visit, I noticed that the olive oil provided on the table seemed a bit old, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. I had high hopes for this visit, especially while entertaining a visitor from out of town, and I want to continue recommending this place. However, these aspects have made me rethink my experience. Thank you for considering this feedback!

Restaurant Review: Ciccone’s Dumbo Last night, I dined at Ciccone’s, one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn, and it was a wonderful experience. The warm, rustic ambiance sets the perfect mood, and the service was friendly and attentive. We started with the Beef Carpaccio, which was tender and flavorful, followed by the Truffle Pizza, rich with truffle oil and creamy cheese. Both dishes were good Just a tiny feeling to have more flavor in a food to keep a highest standard. The wine list and creative cocktails is always impressive. It’s a must-visit for anyone in Dumbo!

While I enjoyed the food, the pre-reservation communication was quite abysmal which made my birthday celebration hard to plan. Despite making a reservation several weeks in advance, I was unable to ever speak over the phone to anyone at the restaurant. For this birthday dinner, there was no one who could confirm table seating layout for a group of nine, discuss birthday dessert options, or clarify if there is a fee associated with bringing your own cake. After many attempts to communicate in advance, we were surprised with cake cutting charges and did not get the ideal window seating despite a relatively empty restaurant. Good for a meal, bad for anything you would like to plan in partnership with host/staff.

What a gorgeous restaurant! The whipped ricotta was amazing and the truffle fries were great! The pizza was sub par. Pasta was delicious. Service was a bit slow.

The food and ambience was absolutely phenomenal. The service was OK until our waiter went home and no one told us so we sat and waited until someone came over to check on us. This place is an absolute must to at least try... located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn where parking may be a little difficult, but the vibes are plenty. I wouldn't recommend walking in because they're usually pretty busy . Made a reservation for my friend's birthday, arrived a little bit early. We had no issues being sat and were even given the option to sit indoors or outdoors. We chose to sit outdoors .That view is breathtaking even when you're a local... for sure an amazing brunch/dinner spot for the summertime. Everything was cooked to perfection. My “Venetian Sour “ tasted like soap and the one thing I noted that could have been better was the pasta, it was lacking sauce. All in all I will absolutely be back and I highly recommend trying this place if you haven't already.

Cecconi’s is a beautiful place. If you’re lucky enough to get a window table overlooking the bridge, the view was beautiful. The staff was fantastic and the food was great. It’s a little pricey, but definitely worth it. The only thing I would say is that perhaps the dishes could be a little bit bigger in regards to serving size, but other than that, it was absolutely mouthwatering . Also they made one of the best old fashions I’ve ever had!

I'm a vegetarian and love the eggplant parmigiana. Service is always gracious. As mature adults, we prefer to dine here lunch time mid-week. Less crowded. I've been here with friends who are not vegetarians, and they love everything. Great plates for sharing too.
