   Great time at CDM Restaurant. Had their chicken piccata, fillet and a grilled octopus appetiser. The ambiance and food are great. Cocktails are amazing. Be sure to ask if you can check out their secret speakeasy in the basement. Very cool.

   It’s a beautiful restaurant for dates, girls night and family! Food is always incredible. Reservations a must so you don’t miss out.

   Food was excellent and service was great. I would be nice to insulate guests from some of the street noise while seated on the patio.

   I have really enjoyed CDM in the past--their Gin Blossom is my favorite cocktail. We came in last night for an early dinner with a 5:45 reservation. Around 6:30, after cocktails, salad and a starter, the server told us we only had the table till 7:45 and that we needed to order our main now. We were really surprised as 2 hours seems standard for a dining experience at a nice restaurant. The chopped salad was fresh and good, even if the ingredients were standard. The spicy yellowtail on smashed potato cakes was DELICIOUS so that we ordered another round. Rushed to order, we decided to share the cioppino ... do not recommend. We actually had to ask for bowls and spoons TWICE before they were brought to accompany the food. (how would we eat it?) Then we asked for spicy pepper and salt. It was bland. The fish was not bad quality but the meal was not properly seasoned (and I typically eat low-salt). Despite the increased time it took to get our utensils and dishes to eat what was now lukewarm main dishes, the server quickly plopped down our bill before we were finished eating, at exactly 7:45. I mean... it takes very little imagination to offer customers to move them to one of at least 8 open tables on the heated patio if they wanted coffee or dessert. It felt abrupt and rude to all of us. We all said we were relieved we had not selected CDM to bring our friends visiting from Europe--imagine the impression that would leave about American service! At first, I had really liked our server but she was just so bad at picking up on any cues, or being at all solicitous, or asking if our food was bad when we ask for red pepper AND salt! So... while I have loved CDM in the past, for that type of money, there are many other places that are more dependable in terms of consistent deliciousness and making us feel special while we are choosing to dine there.

   I was taken back by this quaint unassuming restaurant I had been hearing about from the outside. As soon as I walked in the doors I was instantly transported to an underground world of speakeasy. A fun picture booth and room filled with photos of customers for an added personal touch. The most brilliant, kind and generous bartender Brandon who takes pride in his craft for cocktails and cocktails. We felt right at home. He was very accommodating going over and beyond for my friend's birthday! The food quality and drinks were creative and delicious which were a reflection of excellence. I can't wait to return for more adventures that await!

    Excellent and attentive service. Outdoor seating was great. However, the noise level was unacceptable. There was a large party sitting next to us which made our dining experience very poor. Moreover, there were smokers (restaurant patrons) on the sidewalk so we could smell smoke in our seating area. The restaurant was packed so we did not request to be moved. We were seated so close to the large party and did not want to spoil their evening. We did not want to put our wait staff in the awkward position to ask the party to be more considerate to the rest of us sitting next to them so we quickly finished our meal and left. We had high hopes for this restaurant but were ultimately disappointed with our experience.
