                                                                                Attended the 4 course brunch experience. White wine was over chilled. Odd selection of oysters, shrimp, cheese sandwiches. Simple salad with tasteless dressing. Sea bass was mini size and tasteless. Desert tray was glass with red syrup. Everything stuck to the syrup. Glass trays have been around for a longtime.

                                                                                Not sure if the kitchen crashed but it took an hour and a half to get our meals, and even then they brought our dishes out piecemeal. 2 of the 4 meals weren’t up to expectations: an overdone steak and over-seasoned pasta dish. But after such a long wait, no one wanted to send food back. And during the wait, we barely saw our server for cocktail refreshments, which also took awhile when we were able to place them. I think they were overwhelmed with Christmas Eve bookings and this isn’t typical, but really left a bad impression with some 1st time Castaway goers.

                                                                                Overall-fabulous! there would’ve been 5 stars across the board: but, one major issue : made a rez 2 months ago for Xmas eve dinner, i requested an indoor table due to my sister having special needs/mobility issues. I also called three days earlier to confirm rez/request. Not only did they try to sit us outside but at the very end of the patio w/not enough room/chairs for 6-not ok to seat anyone there TBH . They were very gracious and ended up at the best inside table. We ended up having a fabulous evening at Castaways! Service, waiter, food , drinkies were totally on point!!!
