   New Year's Eve, VERY BUSY, but the food and service came thru. No complaints, except they squeezed 7 persons in a boot for 4. Table very small for 7 persons.

   We had a great New Year's Eve dinner here. The service was amazing, the food was great and the restaurant atmosphere was lively. We don't come here often but will be back soon.

   We are locals have gone there many times it’s always been wonderful but usually go during lunch. We had reservations on New Year’s Eve for five people outdoors when we got there. Our guests asked to sit inside. We did but, immediately we realized it was way too hot inside, so I politely asked the hostess if we could change to outside where there were clearly 10 available tables she was extremely rude and condescending, even though we had a reservation for outdoors and it was just a minute. She clearly was sick, grumpy and infectious with the flu and shame on the restaurant for allowing her to work, she should’ve been resting at home and not infecting others.- I don’t know if they shut off the AC or if it was broken? It was 85 degrees inside and It was super uncomfortable to the point Where Everyone was perspiring. the thing that bothered us, the most was the lack of empathy and terrible service. That hostess was atrocious and very unprofessional. We will not be going back there again anytime soon as we had a horrible experience and if you look at my reviews, they are almost always five stars. But 1 awful employee at the front any business can ruin the entire experience. We left . We quickly changed to FORTU restaurant and had a lovely time

   The food was beautifully presented, and was perfectly done. The portions were sizable, there was plenty to eat. Our waiter was friendly, professional, and attentive. The whole experience was enjoyable and will definitely be coming back.

   I’ve eaten many good meals here but tonight’s dinner was a total disappointment. Gnocchi Carbonara with fresh truffles was one of the specials. This carbonara paled by comparison to the real thing which has a few high quality ingredients requiring excellent timing. Putting a raw egg yolk on top of fried prosciutto misses the whole point and magic of the dish. But the worst offense was to claim fresh truffles when they had absolutely no aroma. I had ordered an extra portion so I could easily tell whether the were fresh. When I sent them back they were heated in an attempt to freshen them up . Unbelievable! They still had no aroma of course. I was given a small discount on the bill

   longtime customer of cassis I’ve always had really good food for breakfast lunch and dinner however this last evening event at dinner was less than spectacular service was very slow even though they only had a few tables that had customers very few servers which explained why they were so very busy. We ordered the ribeye steak which was very high cost of $62 and when it came out it was flat as a pancake friend of my table also ordered the same thing and came out the same way very flat as a pancake and it was marinated and what tasted like A1 sauce very difficult to eat past that marinade sauce my wife got the salmon salad which we thought was gonna have a piece of salmon on top however what looked like it was just pieces of salmon all over a salad. The waiters aid who brought the plates to the table just kind of moved them onto the table kind of like didn’t care and our plates for our bread was not picked up so we had so many plates on a very small table for four people .

   Wonderful restaurant, very good “lunch” food. Probably not the best service and menu items - but it was Christmas Day and very busy. Fried Brussel sprouts are definitely 5 star worthy. Would have loved to try the pizza, but they ran out…

   We visited Cassis a few years ago for dinner and, frankly, left disappointed—both in terms of quality and value. Fast forward to 2024, and we decided to give it another shot, this time for Christmas Day brunch. I’m happy to report that Cassis more than redeemed itself. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I ordered the aged grits with shrimp and andouille sausage—easily among the best grits I’ve had. While the artistic plating was visually appealing, a bowl might have been more practical for this particular dish. My wife opted for the avocado toast with vegetables, and it didn’t disappoint. One thing I always check is whether avocados are freshly sliced or come from a pre-made spread. In this case, the freshness stood out, and the dish was delicious—definitely recommended. The freshly squeezed orange juice was another highlight, a refreshing change from the bottled variety often served elsewhere. The only issue preventing a full-on glowing rating was the service. Our server seemed to have too many tables, which meant we didn’t get checked on until we were nearly done eating. I even had to flag down another server just to get a spoon for my grits, as one wasn’t initially provided. Given the creamy consistency of the grits, a spoon was essential—trying to manage with a fork just didn’t work. Despite the minor service hiccups, Cassis delivered a refined and satisfying brunch experience. Based on this visit, we’re now tempted to give their dinner service another try. If you’re looking for an elevated brunch spot, Cassis is well worth a visit.

    The food was overpriced for what we got - steak was overcooked and not a good cut- service was very good but I had to send my food back and was not offered anything to make up for the inconvenience. Very disappointed.
