   For the love of French cuisine and French culture located in the Beltline of Calgary, Cassis Bistro is the place. I was blown away by their exceptional food and wine list. Of course we had champagne by the glass and a French 75! The croquettes, the ravioli, the mushroom soup, the beef tartare and mussels frites! What I didn’t think we had room for was the desserts but I’m glad we did. The lemon tart and the creme brûlée was like being back in Lyon, France.

   Amazing food! Definitely recommend this place. We went on a cold day in the winter and the restaurant was quite cold. Next time I will wait until the weather is warmer as it will be more comfortable. They really seem to struggle with draft from the front door. Amazing food, great service!! One to try for sure!!

   Most amazing restaurant. Great atmosphere and the staff are wonderful. The food is out of this world. If you want an elegant French meal this is the only place to go.

   Sans aucun doute, Cassis est l'endroit a Calgary pour ceux qui désirent des mets savoureux, complex, et bien exécutés. Un repas six services, ça ne se mange simplement pas en 90 minutes et l'équipe de Cassis comprenne ça car nous ne nous sommes pas du tout sentis bousculés pendant les plus de deux heures et demie au cours desquelles nous avons dégustés: les pâtes à choux: parfaitement moelleuses et croquantes toute a la fois le foie gras torchon: soyeux et si gouteux la tarte aux champignons: tendrement croquants sur une baguette croustillantes nappés d'une réduction qui complémentait en douceur les saint-Jacques: légèrement translucide et d'une texture moelleuse bien que ferme. Celles-ci furent notre coup de coeur. Un vrai oeuvre d'art ce met! le veau: un peu trop sucré à notre goût, pas aussi tendre que nous aurions osé espérer, mais servi à point, parfaitement rosé les desserts: gourmands, bien agencés et plus que copieux Les vins d'accompagnements furent, en majorité, une belle surprise; le petit Pinot Noir de l'Okanagan fut une belle découverte. Par contre, le Sancerre ne fit pas hommage aux saint-Jacques. Cassis a trouvé la juste quantité de vin à servir: pas trop pour enivrer, pas trop peu pour assécher les palais. Bien joué. Et en résumé, un Franc succès!

   Cassis Bistro is hands down my favorite restaurant in Calgary! The family-like cozy atmosphere is unmatched, with everyone speaking French and many from France, making it feel utterly authentic. Martin’s attentive care and Gilles’ warm, welcoming smile always make me feel right at home! Combine that with incredible food every time, and it’s truly a little slice of France in the city!

   Every delicious dish was prepared and served in simplicity and elegance. It's all about the food here. The market fish (pickerel) was fantastic. The mussels were magnificent.
