Whoever the saucier is, give them a raise because they are single handedly CARRYING the food. This had to have been one of the most disappointing meals of my life, considering how much I was looking forward to this meal. We ordered the gnocchi, escargot, linguine, and duck confit. All dishes were consistent; dry and/or insultingly overcooked. The best thing was probably the gnocchi, but even that was below average. The gnocchi had no body because of how overcooked it was. It disintegrated into my mouth with the consistency of wet sand. The escargot was underwhelming as well. The mains, however, were just flat out bad. Firstly, the linguine. Everything was overcooked. Soft mushy pasta, rubbery overcooked shrimp, and sad, shriveled-up mussels. Shockingly, the linguine wasn't even the worst thing we ordered, which would be the terrible duck confit. Once again, dry, grey, and overcooked duck on top of a bed of the single worst beans I've ever eaten at any restaurant. The beans were shockingly bad. Weirdly enough, the beans seemed undercooked. They were rock hard and difficult to even smash under a fork (see the video). If you did manage to smash a bean, you were met with a dry, depressing, undercooked mess that had the texture of sandpaper. It's as if the beans came straight out soaking with no cooking whatsoever. The only redeeming quality in the food was the sauce. All four dishes had a great sauce, which did its best to mask the horribly cooked food underneath. Again, give the saucier a raise for that alone, because it was the only good thing I ate. Aside from the sauce, the atmosphere was definitely a 5/5. That being said, if you only care about ambiance but have zero standards for the food you're putting into your mouth, you might enjoy this place. Our bill came out to $120 per person, including drinks and dessert. Will not be coming back or recommending to anyone.

Horrible food. Ravioli barely cooked, not aladent. I mean can’t chew not cooked. Drowning in 1 » of butter. Had to rerun it. Linguini seafood, pasty sauce with way too much salt. They lacked white wine , lemon. For 52$ rip off get the junior out of the kitchen

The quality of the seafood dish was disgustingly poor . Prices of the mains were extremely high for what you got and its presentation Services was good

Food was tasty, especially the duck confit. Service was below par for a restaurant of this caliber. We seldom seen our server until the end of the meal. Perhaps it was a shift change between early evening and prime time. We’ve dined here before and had a great time , food and service.

Such a great restaurant, the staff was fabulous and very accommodating with my allergies. I loved every bit of the service, the appetizers (I recommend the oysters!) and the main courses were delishhhh! If you’re in Carmel you should definitely check out Casanova! They had a great selection of wine as well- I’m currently not drinking, so didn’t get to appreciate it sadly.

Wine list a little expensive when compared to the cocktail list and food. As I looked around, I saw maybe two bottles of wine on the tables and a couple of splits. I have to wonder how many more tables would have had wine if the prices were more reasonable. Nobody needs to charge 3x plus for wine.
