Overall it was a nice experience. However would like to offer some constructive criticism. Welcome staff was under staffed, or under trained. There were many people arriving and they couldn’t keep up with the customers, checking in. They required us to check our coats, however on the top floor it is was cold because of the exterior temps. It was beautiful, but chilly. My wife tried to keep her coat, but they required her to check it. However, the couple who sat next to us, kept their coats on. Just seems a bit odd that the policy isn’t uniformly enforced. Waitress was curt. Professional, but curt. No personality, almost impatient. Just straight business. Food was excellent, ambiance was great. Just need to work on reading the customers a little better.

I honestly was so shook at how like underwhelming the food was. I only liked the soufflé and the steak tartare. The meals were extremely subpar. The pasta was super doughy. Also, a good majority of the food for my party of 8 came out lukewarm

Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. The decor is high fashion, with consummate attention to visual detail. The same is true of meal presentation. My waiter was a real pro. Solicitous and focused on delivering a fine evening. The menu included both old standards and interesting innovations. Everything in the dining room and with my meal was fine. The main flaw, which was truly irritating and should immediately be addressed by management, was reception. First, I did not like having to reconfirm verbally by phone, after already doing so through OpenTable's reservation system. Unfortunately, a practice not unique to this restaurant. I'd made a reservation for 5 PM, needing to make the early curtain at a nearby theatre. I arrived 10 minutes beforehand, which seemed either to be a huge issue for the hostess (if you can call her that) or part of the restaurant's schtick to humble diners. This young woman was extremely awkward in showing me to my table, and then was rude and commanding upon claiming my coat. If you can overlook those interface problems and are in the neighborhood, Casa Cruz seems to be a reasonable option for a refined evening.

Overpriced - they used to have amazing gluten-free pasta, but now it is not the same at all and seems like they use store-bought penne :( Taste and texture is much worse. Paid $56 for a truffle pasta with no truffles...
