Hector, our server, was amazing! Stayed at the Andaz Mayakoba resort and this restaurant is a must try! Everything that we had was delicious and our amazing server recommended every dish and drink that we ordered. Had the arepas for appetizer, steak and red snapper for entree and chocotorta for dessert is fabulous! Perfect way to end our vacation!

Great staff, waiters, and chefs. They all contribute to a wonderful experience in South American cuisine. Plenty of flavors for all the different tastes and plate presentations second to none. It’s a worthwhile stop.

The food was very good but unfortunately the service was terrible. We had a later reservation (8:30 pm) and there were only a couple of tables seated in the restaurant, but our server continuously walked past us and ignored us we were clearly waiting to order drinks, food, have the table cleared, etc. We were even looking right at him and on some occasions tried to flag him down but with no luck. From start to finish for a table of two took 2.5 hours. For a restaurant of this price everything should be near perfect so overall I would say it was not great value.

We’ve been back to Casa Amada about seven times at this point. The food is incredible and the service is warm and professional. The salads are always wonderful and the steak is the best in the whole Riviera Maya :-)

Woof this place really fell off. Used to be the best meal in mayakoba. They've shortened the menu options, and the items that remain from before have been severely simplified, they were not balanced or good. Our waiter was good but service is also downhill. To start the 'bread service ' he was so excited for is now just sourdough and wheat with plain butter... It used to be multiple breads (inc the flatbread they serve w the ceviche) and 4-5 different types of really interesting butters. The cocktail menu used to be amazing, with very interesting and unique cocktails. The Ultima defense remains and was good. The spicy marg was eh (couldn't get a single good one anywhere around tbh). Food was really salty, and I like saltier food than most. A single prawn with overly salty base , prime steak was average , the soup was absolutely flavorless. The ceviche was the only good dish..other patrons like the snapper - I thought it was average and a little dry. They used to serve it wrapped in banana leaf. Been coming to mayakoba for years and would eat at amate 1-2 times min per trip .. Clearly massive cost cutting (we only had one server in our entire section, used to be a team of servers ) In general mayakoba has taken massive advantage of a semi captive audience , but now with minimal good options it's very disappointing. Things have changed rapidly the last year or so.
