As always, amazing food and cocktails, but the drinks are pretty slow arriving after ordering. A wonderful place to eat nonetheless.

Wonderful time. Beautiful facility. We were seated out back so the noise level was quiet compared to the more moderate levels in the main area. Food was fantastic as always and the wait staff including our waitress Julie went above and beyond all of our expectations.

Very excellent service and food! Second time visiting and it is more quiet in a booth than in the open part of the restaurant.

We drove down to Lexington from Cincinnati for a day of Christmas shopping and stopped by Carson’s for brunch. The food was beyond delicious and the restaurant is beautiful. Our waiter, Aidan, was polite, attentive, and gave us great recommendations on menu options. I told my husband I would like to join them again in January for my birthday dinner and we cannot wait! Definitely recommend!

Noise: Loud. Asked for patio seating. Got bar area. Service: slow. Waitress not as friendly as could be. Portions smaller than usual. Unusual experience for us at Carson’s. We still left over 20% tip.

So I will say we have eaten here multiple times in the past. Today we were celebrating my wife’s Birthday. When we arrived the lobby was full. We were seated within 10 minutes so that wasn’t terrible. Once seated it took awhile for our waitress to take our drink order. When she came to our table we ordered drinks, appetizer, and entree because we felt like it would speed everything up. Well we were wrong. The truffle fries came out fast but they didn’t have much sauce on them and they got cold fast cause where they seated us they had the door open for the outside patio area open. It was freezing the whole time and made our food get cold very fast. We had to keep our coats on the whole time. Then they brought out our salads which were very light on dressing so we had to ask for more but the taste was good. After waiting about 35 more minutes our steaks come out and both were undercooked big time. I ordered medium well and it was medium. My wife ordered medium and it came out rare. I gave my steak to my wife and we took hers to go so we can cook it when we get home. Tip and everything included we spent 170$ and it was not close to worth it. We have eaten here multiple times so we will give them another chance in the future because it’s normally great but today was terrible. If this was our first time here we would never come back. Also the service was really slow and the server was paying attention to the bigger tables way more. I tried to pay her and she kept going to other tables so instead I threw cash on the table and we left. I hope for a Birthday celebration others have better experiences cause this trip was a huge let down!

Food was great and portion size is perfect! Unfortunately out waitress was not the best. She was slow and seemed put out when she was asked to get our table items. She seemed bothered and forgot to get me a sweet tea twice and I ended up having to ask someone else. Not sure if she was having a bad day or if that is her personality

Wife and I both ordered the Sweet Chicken and Waffles. Supposed to have powdered sugar and strawberries according to the menu. Didn't see powdered sugar and we each had one strawberry. The amount of syrup provided might have been enough for one quarter of the waffle. The chicken was good but the quality of the entire meal fell short for the cost.
