Matthew, our server, made our night great, but the chefs and kitchen staff made it fantastic with food that was superior, delicious, and very well presented. We’ve been here twice before, and now we know we need to return more often. This is likely to become a go-to place for us on a night out.

Was very disappointed this visit Feb 2020. Prime rib overcooked as was chicken fried chicken. For the cost I expect more. Also need acoustic assessment of the space. Noisy!!! Don't think we will be back. Too bad because prior visits were good food. Also, unrelated to food...redecorate! Outdated and too much stuff all over. Nice location and space but something is missing.

The food and service were good, but unfortunately things were mislabeled on the Valentine’s menu as gluten free and I wasn’t able to order what I had planned. Although I picked something else, I still ended up getting sick with the symptoms I typically experience from gluten exposure. Not exactly the Valentines Day date I had hoped for.

Although our previous experience at Carmela's made us decide to never return, we had gift certificates for dinner. We had a reservation but the young man acting as host tried to seat us at a high top table in the bar. When I requested a regular table, he balked but gave it to us. We started with a charcuterie plate. The prosciutto was dried out and had the texture of shoe leather, making it difficult to chew. I had a crab rangoon pizza with crab meat that tasted very fishy and not at all fresh. The service was also very slow. The only reason we went back was due to the gift certificates. The previous time we were there (last fall), our crab cakes were bad and we didn't finish them. They were more like deep-fried meatballs with old crab. Our salmon was barely cooked and was gelatinous and cold inside. We won't be going back.
