Carlos@b&v brings the finer side of dining and service to this unique little part of North London, on the Green in Winchmore Hill, a stone's throw from the mainline station of the same name and a short drive from Southgate on the end of the Piccadiily Line. Carlos himself is a restauranteur with flair, having built a reputation in the area over 30 years and so his experience with executing a dynamic and slick establishment brings much to be excited about. Guests will get that familiar 'welcome back' feeling even if they happen to be newcomers. The interiors are comfortably chic but inviting, with a warm ambience and the atmosphere is busy and vibrant. Live music and niche little magic entertainers are a regular occurrence. With an open alfresco feel in the summer, looking out on to the Green itself and a pavement terrace in warmer months too.
The menu is Modern European with a specials menu that changes regularly and plenty of choice on the drinks and cocktail menu.

    Absolutely dreadful, I wish I had stay at home. The lack of service was appalling. The food was awful and the place was a mess very unorganised . The waiters/waitresses were useless and clearly wasn't very experienced in working a busy shift. Lack of communication and a waste of time, money and effort, thankfully I did not allow this to ruin our Christmas and was so grateful to get home!!! Will not be returning or recommending anyone to this place!

    Dirty tablecloth, had to ask for it to be changed, then it was still dirty. Had to ask for different chairs as they were stained and dirty looking. Waitress reaching over people to place food on table, instead of walking around table. Cutlery was old and misshapen. Wrong drink bought to the table and left there. We were told we didn't pay the deposit when we definitely did. We were asked to pay because they needed the table back, then the wrong bill was brought to us. The food was good, but difficult to enjoy because of all the other issues.

    We recently had the pleasure of dining at Carlos @ B&V, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the service was attentive, polite, and warm, making us feel welcomed and valued. This set the tone for a fantastic evening. We enjoyed a delightful three-course meal with a great variety of options. Each dish was well-portioned and delicious, leaving all eight of us with content bellies. The menu catered to diverse tastes, and we were genuinely impressed by the quality of the food. The meal was well-priced considering the high standard of both the food and service, complemented by an excellent wine selection. The dessert choices were the perfect finale to our dining experience. An unexpected highlight was the round-table magician, whose impressive tricks added a fun and unique touch to the evening. Carlos @ B&V is ideal for both group gatherings and romantic dinners, with an inviting and comfortable ambiance. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. I highly recommend this gem for anyone seeking great food, service, and entertainment!

    We were welcomed and looked after throughout lunchtime by the staff, even though they were rushed off their feet catering for several large company groups having their Christmas lunches. Despite the large numbers, the food was superb. We have been to Carlos B&V several times in the past when staying locally to look after our grandchildren - it is a treat for all the family.

    A great place for lunch or dinner with a very warm, friendly and welcoming vibe to go with delicious food and a great wine list. I treated my family to a Sunday roast which did not disappoint - generous helpings of meat plus all the trimmings and a nice selection for the kids too. Staff as always were super attentive and knowledgeable. Service did not wane even though it was super busy Sunday. Always a pleasure to visit Carlos @ BV
