   We were welcomed and looked after throughout lunchtime by the staff, even though they were rushed off their feet catering for several large company groups having their Christmas lunches. Despite the large numbers, the food was superb. We have been to Carlos B&V several times in the past when staying locally to look after our grandchildren - it is a treat for all the family.

   A great place for lunch or dinner with a very warm, friendly and welcoming vibe to go with delicious food and a great wine list. I treated my family to a Sunday roast which did not disappoint - generous helpings of meat plus all the trimmings and a nice selection for the kids too. Staff as always were super attentive and knowledgeable. Service did not wane even though it was super busy Sunday. Always a pleasure to visit Carlos @ BV

   We had a fantastic evening. It was very comfortable seating and nice lighting. I did order the prawns which were delicious, but I wish I’d had more on the plate! We had a glass of champagne, a bottle of Pinot Grigio and crème brûlée to share at the end! It was very yummy. The lychee cocktail was incredible 💗 This will be a regular for us as a good treat. Thank you to everyone working there and making our evening really fun and the close-up magician included was superb! See you soon !!!

   I thought the food was amazing. We made a couple of requests like a birthday dessert and a window seat which were met. We had a young girl serve our table and she was awesome. Over all great birthday dinner for Dad :-)

   The restaurant was busy on arrival (Sunday lunchtime). Firstly, they could not find my booking, despite me confirming the day before that I would be coming. Our guests had arrived a little earlier, so they wiped our booking off the tablet! Secondly, they rushed us throughout the meal, firstly telling us that we had only 2 hours, and then clearing plates and cutlery off the table before we had even finished dining, bringing us the bill before we had asked for it or finished eating etc. Very unprofessional, and unlike the excellent service of the old Buckle & Vaughan that had existed on that spot for many years previously. We think it was the Manager who was displaying all this discourtesy. We have dined there during the week, and the waiters (Elliot in particular) could not have been more attentive and helpful. It is not the diners fault that Management have over-booked the restaurant, nobody should be rushed and make to feel unwelcome! Very poor hospitality indeed! Tables were too close to each other, which made exiting and entry difficult without bumping into diners eating on the nearby table. It was very noisy too, with babies screaming. Food quality and portions were reasonable, not plentiful. Prices hefty, which make the rudeness even more unpalatable.
