   Where do I even start! My husband and I came here for the first time to celebrate our three-year anniversary, and I cannot believe we hadn’t come here sooner. The ambiance was perfect—warm lighting and cosy decor set the stage for a lovely evening! We were greeted by Stu, who is super friendly (and very funny) and he made us feel right at home! We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was absolutely lovely and took the time to chat with us and gave us recommendations for other restaurants as well, as we are new to Calgary. They offer a wide variety of dishes, but we opted for their specials. I ordered the seafood pasta, while my husband chose the wagyu steak. Both dishes were beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. To finish off the evening, we indulged in dessert. The Nutella cheesecake was heavenly—light and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. Overall, our experience at Carino was exceptional. We left feeling happy, full, and excited to return. If you're looking for a place that combines great food with a lovely atmosphere, Carino is definitely the place for you!

   Just okay, did not live up to the hype for us. Duck was well prepared but a very tasty sauce drizzled on the side was sparse, only drops 🙄 the side pasta with add’l duck meat was okay (too much meat, needed more flavour). Scallop main dish had 3 scallops 😑 for $35 - ridiculous, and the risotto had waaaaay too much truffle oil, it was overpowering. Mussel appy was pretty good but the pairing with fries just doesn’t work, we paid extra for bread which was much better. Kind loud and cramped where we were seated lol guess one and done.

   This restaurant is unmatched in terms of service, food, location, ambiance, everything. I’ve been here twice and both times wanted to go back the next day. This restaurant has a vibe unlike any other. It’s truly an experience and we will be back again, no doubt.

   I always enjoy my time at Carino! The food is outstanding to match the outstanding service. Highly recommend Josh's tea sommelier services for a unique and special experience. Already looking forward to my next visit.

   Carino is so fun - Japanese and Italian fusion is always entertaining for those who haven't been before. We had chicken karaage, wagyu bucatini, ramen, and the wonderful gyosagna (my favourite). Started off pretty quiet at 12pm but was bustling and noisy by 1pm. Great value and a cool spot. Great recommendations from our server.

    Everyone’s meal was beautifully prepared and tasted great. The staff work together to keep you well looked after and the ambience is perfect. Will be going back for sure.
