We stayed at the Welk Resort for a week and made the mistake of having dinner at the Canyon Grille the first night. It was the first and last visit. The food was pretty abysmal and even below “Sysco” packaged dinners. And it was very overpriced for the diner-like meals! The decor is rather a slightly upscale Denny’s aesthetic. Hard pass!

I would not recommend this to a friend because their service was horrible. It took 40 minutes just to get water. Then we still had to wait to get our order taken. I do have to admit that the food was delicious, but the whole dining out experience was terrible.

We had a reservation for Valentine's day and they put us out on the patio with no heat and wires hanging all over the walls. Then we asked to move inside, they did, twice. They asked if it's ok to move us into another waiters section. Odd but easy enough. The waiter would disappear for 20-30 minutes at a time. There where so many people staring into space wondering wtf was going on. We come here often and it was no more busy then any other Friday night. It seems like every other time we come here it's a sit show. We keep going back because we are trapped with it being the only place around.

Reasonable place to stop in before a show at the theater! The meat loaf entree was quite tasty.

Food was good service was great but it was like eating in a cafeteria. Lighting atrocious. Last time we were in the other room but there was a private party this time. Not much option if you are going to the theater...which was spectacular! Well could invest a little money in the decor and learn the importance of good lighting in a restaurant. You know, create some ambiance...

Enjoyable restaurant with some class ~ cloth napkins for lunch. I like that. Allen is an excellent server. Knows the menu very well, attentive but not hovering. Will ask for him next time. While I didn't care for my Monte Cristo sandwich, it wasn't restaurant's fault. I like it hot this wasn't either. The chicken Alfredo my friend had was wonderful. I look forward to the next time here.
