   A really cozy restaurant in the Glebe. The food is excellent the service friendly and professional. I love the homey atmosphere. The don't rush you and make you feel welcome. One of our go to places.

   Service was slow. Server was not familiar with the menu. One dish was undercooked. Noisy. Seating was cramped.

   Food was amazing as always, but service was very poor. Our server disappeared after our apps, we had a runner deliver our food and never had a server or anyone come to check on us, we would’ve ordered a few more rounds of drinks, we then sat with all our extra food in front of us after we finished for almost 45 minutes before having to go to the front and ask for a bill. Wasn’t even busy in the restaurant. Cantina Gia is always one of my favourites and where I bring guests but this experience was a bit of a shame.

   I much prefer to write positive notes. Sadly, my first time back to this restaurant in 2 years was much the same as my last 2 visits. Great space, lovely ambiance - however, the food is so salty that it is rendered almost inedible. All four of us in the party felt the same way, from appetizers to mains. In fact, one member of our party texted me after to say that he had barely made it home without an "accident" as his body immediately wanted to flush out the sodium. When they first opened the food was excellent. I have now had three meals in a row, spread out since, that were not up to par.

   My third time coming to this restaurant - the food is always mid but I come for the ambiance. Not sure if I will come again though. DRINKS: The Orange Wine on tap that I ordered was corked and the server did not understand that the wine was aerated too much that the taste had gone sour and hard to drink. The Espresso Martini I ordered instead of wine was watered down, likely because of the small ice cubes used which melted quickly into the drink. FOOD: The two lunch sandwiches ordered was good and the salad had a light dressing which paired well with the sandwich. SERVICE: Despite being lunch time and the restaurant being half full, service was slow. It took me 10 mins to have my empty water cup refilled and awhile for my bill and the machine to come, upon request. The Aesop soap in the bathroom was either not Aesop or mixed with water.

    Everything was great, but my Carbonara only had 2 very small pieces of pancetta in the whole dish. Otherwise it was all a lovely meal.
