Camden Spit & Larder, a modern London-inspired eatery, in Downtown Sacramento on Capitol Mall. Chef Oliver Ridgeway showcases the pristine ingredients of the surrounding region with its bold design, bustling bar scene, and prime private dining facilities. Camden is comfortable yet elevated. We are located just a few blocks from the Capitol and Convention Center and just steps from the Golden 1 Center. This is the perfect place to dine pre-show or concert.     Valentine's Day Pre-Fixe Dinner Menu Join us for our exclusive Valentine's Day pre-fixe dining experience. Upon arrival all guests will receive a bubbly toast and an amuse busche bite that will be followed with four decadent courses from Chef Oliver. We will have a vegetarian menu available upon request as well as optional wine and cocktail pairings curated by our sommelier and bar manager respectively. Please allow up to 1 1/2 hours for this dining experience and note that there will be reservations following your 1 1/2 hour window. Also please note our cancellation policy and let us know of any dietary restrictions.

    The ambience and staff were good. Our waiter, while full of enthusiasm didn’t seem very knowledgeable about the menu. I had the market fish which consisted of three small seared scallops and two what seemed to be Stuffed agnolotti with a minimal taste and shaved apple salad on a smear of lobster bisque. It was hardly enough food for an appetizer let alone an entrée. My wife had the New York steak and enjoyed it Would we go again? Probably not.

    Our server, Chelsea, did a fabulous job! Also thank you to Jeffrey for all the great service as the manager. Wonderful food, great ambiance and unparalleled service. It was the perfect place to celebrate my wife’s birthday!!

    Came here with my spouse for our anniversary. Menus said Happy Anniversary on them which was a nice touch. Food was delicious, especially the chicken. Service was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend!

    The food and drinks were amazing!! It was interesting because we dined for NYE and the whole night my friends and I including my husband (party of 4) felt like we were being rushed out. We did have later reservations but it was the only option that worked for us on resy which was honestly fine. I understand the hours of operation but I also felt like there were other tables that weren’t being rushed out, and we were for some reason singled out? We weren’t rowdy or disrespectful by any means. I kept getting asked if I was done with my plate and then after the 5th time of being asked I just surrendered and said yes, even though I wanted to finish my amazing salmon entree. It was so good! We also ordered the delicious papas bravas that we got for the table, but unfortunately they were taken shortly after my plate was cleared! We barely ate half of It all happened so quickly, I wasn’t able to speak up and ask for a to-go box (even though it was never offered in the first place). I regret not saying something, but I guess I was just stunned and didn’t know what to think. We noticed the bar (this was shortly after closing) was still open and there were still patrons enjoying drinks and ordering, so once we settled our bill and decided to get a drink before we left. I asked for a round of champagne, but was not asked on preference. Later to realize once I got the bill, that the bartender (very polite and helpful by the way) ordered one of their expensive bottles. I ended up paying $120 for 4 glasses. Again, my fault for not speaking up but I guess I just didn’t realize at the time to ask. I don’t want crap champagne but I also wish the bartender asked our preference beforehand. Anyway…I would love to dine there again, maybe on a night that wasn’t one of their busier ones. The food was excellent and the service was overall good. I just didn’t appreciate feeling like we were being rushed out. I would much rather have had more transparency on their order of operation.

    Started with the caviar service- definitely enough for 4 people so we shared with our neighbors. Excellent! We had the meat pie, an unexpected flavor bomb! The jus was a perfect accompaniment. Also had the salmon, good, not great, a little overcooked but well seasoned. Service was perfect, atmosphere was festive for the holidays. Definitely will keep this in our rotation.

    We have been at least once a month and everything is always the great experience always . From Chris and Jeff guys who greet us as family to bartender and bartender manger and all the servers and of course Chef Oliver never fails to Amaze us. Lobster dish last night was so delicious. Sides of potatoes and another one of Brussels sprouts excellent. Will be back soon!
