   2nd time there 2nd time disappointed. Food was mediocre, service was slow and live music was annoying loud.

   We have visited Calma Besch Club many times and had a great experience all round. On this occasion we left having waited 1 hr 20 mins for food as the service was so slow. Very disappointed as it was a celebration meal with my husband for his birthday.

   My friend and I came in for lunch, I was able to make a reservation and we got seated inside. It was a lovely day out, the restaurant seemed decently busy. Zack took care of us (Sorry if I spelled that wrong) and he was excellent. He was really nice, helped us choose some items, brought us our drinks in good time, and also did proper quality checks after serving us drinks or food, which is so important! Unfortunately, we couldn't get a couple of beach chairs after lunch, as they were rammed with tourists, but that's fine, we always expect this during high season. So we took off down the road back to our usual spot. We also got the beginning set from a fella playing steelpan, which was really lovely. Calma always has great live music when we go! I also have to mention the hostess who sat us was so pleasant too, everyone was in such a great mood and is always something so important when dining in a restaurant! Thanks to the team at Calma, see yas again soon!

   This was our 2nd visit to Calma as the first one had issues with the food which the management sorted out very well. We booked for lunch and had the lovely bar table overlooking the beach which has fantastic views. After being given the menus we had to ask twice to order drinks and food. The restaurant was not busy, only 3 other tables were occupied. Food and drinks were good but took absolutely ages to arrive. I noticed that the serving staff were congregated at the desk at the entrance and they were all having a lovely chat together whilst diners were trying to catch their attention. It used to be a really efficient and friendly place when it first opened so it's disappointing to see it turn into, yet another, half-hearted operation. If you are sitting on the beach chairs the servers are super efficient there.

   Zach was an awesome server. Great experience. We are 3 solo travellers that go out for dinner often. We very much appreciate the option to do separate bills. We avoid places that won’t offer this. It’s greatly appreciated.

   Our experience at Calma was interesting. When I made the booking I specifically said it was for a birthday. When I reached the restaurant the hostess asked if I was the birthday girl and I told her no it's the guy at the table ( there was only one guy at the table). Our food was good and the server was great, however when it came time for dessert they allowed us to know they forgot that it was a birthday and the kitchen was closed so they wouldn't be giving the birthday boy anything. After protesting, they offered a shot of rum :| which we refused and they offered tequila just for the birthday boy. Did I mention that the table behind us also had a birthday and she got cake. I'm not impressed with this as it was stated on two occasions and still no form of celebration... What's the point in asking?!

   Staff are quite inattentive not all but some ace lacks atmosphere in the evening nice spot in the day though

    10/10 for friendly service, servers were very efficient and attentive, they were happy to chat with you and had a laugh and a joke whilst serving food and wine which we liked. We had taco's with fries and they were fabulous, the portions were just enough for us. The quality of food was excellent. The place itself had a good relaxed atmosphere, very clean, not over crowded with furniture etc so your not on top of one another. It has a lovely additional area overlooking the beach which was nice to sit in following our meal. The cost of the food and wine was average to most places we have eaten in, higher than some but less than others. I would definitely recommend going here.
