   I had heard from a friend how great this restaurant was and she was right! The chicken dumplings were divine, as well as the grilled sea bass and spinach paneer. Portions are not huge but very tasty. The bar is beautiful and the place had a good energy. We enjoyed the evening there and will definitely be back! The place was packed on a Saturday night, but luckily we had a reservation. (Note: be on time for your reservation).

   We went there to celebrate two birthdays together and a fantastic time. Had to change reservation the day before to add two more people, which was available. Paid deposit if $10 per person to confirm the reservation because it was modified within 24 hrs but this was promptly adjusted on our total bill. We got a nice secluded booth for us (they have two of those that could take 6 or 7 people each), and they are great. The young lady who waited on was super pleasant. Although she is only a month old at this restaurant, she knew about the different menu items and was able to speak about them. (Pro tip- she has good photography skills .. the pictures she took of our group turned out great!) . We tried pani poori poppers, eggplant lasagna, cheese jalapeño Kulcha, garlic & chive naan, paneer pot pie , mint paratha and chai tiramisu. The poppers weren’t my favorite but the rest of it was awesome. Group favorite was cheese jalapeños kulcha. The zero proof drink selections are great as well. Recommend this place highly if you are planning for a nice dining experience , are open trying some creative unauthentic Indian food and if your wallet allows $35 to $50 per head . Tucked away gem in a quiet area of Long Beach. Street parking, but there seems to be a lot opposite the restaurant, which was full when we got there but street parking was fine. We will be back soon for the next celebration!!

   The nachos were loaded with stuff. Each nacho was able to have lots of toppings. I also got the veggie lasagna and it was not very lasagna like but it was amazing. There were so many different flavors. The service was friendly and not bothersome. I went on a Friday night and it was not that busy. It is a relatively small place. The decor is modern and not gimmicky. The bar is especially nice. I will be coming back to CaliChilli.

   Cali Chili is one of our favorite restaurants. The service is fantastic, the vibe and ambiance are beautiful, and the food and cocktails are unique, flavorful and sublimely prepared and presented.

    My husband and I ate here for the first time today. We liked the non-alcoholic specialty drinks we ordered as they were refreshing. The beef short ribs, biryani, naan, and paneer were decent and the three dishes that we ordered had enough for the both of us plus another meal or two. The portions are served family style and plentiful. I do have a food allergy to wheat and quickly learned in talking to the manager? owner? a guy who seemed to have some authority that the codes on their menu aren't accurate as things contained wheat that didn't indicate so even though they have a "contains wheat/rye/barley" icon on the menu. And also for someone working in the food service industry, he didn't understand that AP flour is made with wheat...which is a bit concerning. But that said, he was super friendly and engaging and did his best to be helpful to assist me in avoiding wheat once we discussed what was wheat and what wasn't. We loved the space we ate in. The colors are grey and soothing. We were given the booth in the window in the front and it was very private. The atmosphere was lovely and serene in this restaurant.
