   Great experience except for I had messaged back and forth with the restaurant on Open Table about leaving a note or something that had to do with fairies, And include the names of the two little girls that were with us aand they said “We would be happy to accommodate that. We will make a note to ensure there is something special for Nora and Olivia. Warmly, The Cake Bake Shop” and nothing was done. I was a little disappointed but the girls knew no different and absolutely loved their time there.

   We had a wonderful time celebrating a friend's birthday. The food was delightful! We all enjoyed our meal. I ordered the Crab cake appetizer and the French onion soup. I had a chocolate martini and it was perfect. I recommend it We loved the attention the birthday girl received with the pixie powder. Staff was very helpful and friendly, they were opening doors for us and offered to take our picture. We will be back.

   I thought it was overpriced. We got the soup of the day, broccoli soup, and it was spicy. Was not expecting that.

   I drove 3 hours from Columbus Ohio with my sister and niece to The Cake Bake Shop. It is my niece’s dream to own her own bakery, and I wanted to gift her with a special experience to celebrate her 12th birthday and provide her some inspiration to realize her dreams. At the end of every roadtrip, is my family’s tradition to name the “Top 3” moments of the day. Of course, we spoke about the magical atmosphere at The Cake Bake Shop and about how the food was unbelievably delicious! But we all agreed that our number one moment was our experience with our waiter Donovan. Donovan went absolutely above and beyond every expectation that we had! From the moment we sat down I could tell how proud he was to work at the Cake Bake Shop and how important it was to make sure my niece felt celebrated. She is generally not very adventurous with her meals, but he made her feel safe enough to try the truffle oil with her French fries (which she loved!) It is also a family tradition to go around the table and give a blessing to the one who is celebrating their birthday and share with them our hopes for their year to come. We put Donovan on the spot and asked if he had any advice for my niece for her 13th year. He gave such a lovely and thoughtful response and encouraged her to always stay true to herself. I am sure that everyone who works at The Cake Bake Shop does a fantastic job, but I truly can’t imagine anyone creating a more wonderfully memorable experience than Donovan did for us! I hope you are all lucky enough to sit at his table one day.

   The decor here is nice and it’s a cute experience for kids but that unfortunately doesn’t make up for the food. For $350 the only decent items we got were the buratta appetizer, the baked fontina appetizer, and the peanut butter mousse pie. Our entrees were under seasoned, very undercooked (steak), and just did not taste good. Even the kids buttered noodles was just overcooked, dry noodles, with some Parmesan cheese on top - my daughter said it tasted bad and she couldn’t eat it. We tried a few desserts and dessert drinks but so many items came with dense, heavy, flavorless whipped cream on top. The hot chocolate had so much whipped cream my daughter wouldn’t drink it until it was removed - it also made the drink almost cold. For $10 she had what amounted to a few sips of cold “hot” chocolate. Unfortunately, dusting everything in glitter doesn’t make up for a really poor food quality and taste. The ambiance is nice (although the bathrooms were dirty, broken, and in disarray and our booth had dirty pillows and cushions and there were a lot of visible paint chips around the restaurant), but not worth $350 for two adults and a toddler.

   Slow service and food was just ok. Cakes use to be a lot better. They were dry and just ok. Rather they taste good then look pretty for $16.

    I go every year for my birthday, put that on reservation and they again asked if we were celebrating, typically get a cute sign on the table (others had them) also buttered noodles were well tasteless, my son didn’t heat but 5 bites, kindly told the lady and she said well next time try this other noodle dish…..umm ok maybe offer something else, speechless, she had one to many tables focused on the other end and not so much ours, disappointed in this visit this year!!
