   A lovely dining experience. The food is matched by the attentiveness of the staff. From an Irish perspective, it might be worth explaining what you mean or expect from the service charge. Should a tip follow once the SC is applied to the bill? Unclear.

   Having had an awful experience in Liitle Pyg on Friday evening we were fortunate to get a last minute reservation in Cafe Topolis. The manager recognised us from previous visits and was friendly and attentive upon our arrival. Explained that there was a nice table which would be available in 10 minutes upstairs or we could take a table immediately downstairs. We opted to wait for the upstairs table as there was a lovely lively atmosphere there . He kept us informed of the status of our table, apologised for delay which was unnecessary as he was doing us a favour. As always the food and service was excellent. Three hours later we were still there enjoying the cocktails.

   Food was a big disappointment. I felt I was having tesco tortellini rather than homemade nice Italian one. It was completely bland and flavorless. Service was ok but we wanted to have a dessert and they closed it without asking before. They just closed the place and brought us the bill without even calling last orders. Not coming back.

    We were able to book a table for Saturday on the day which was great. Seated downstairs at the back but that suited us as we wanted to catch up. Service was very prompt and our server was very pleasant. Food was lovely although the lasagne portion was very small. Very pleasant experience overall!
