Please come and enjoy our award wining cuisine and breathtaking views. Official parking for the restaurant is available at the Royal Sonesta Resort.

Please note, all seating is first come, first served- no special seating requests can be honored. For parties over 6, online reservations are not accepted, please call the main number.

    Lasagna and fettuccine Bolognese were absolutely incredible and very authentic. The sauce was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in Kauai it is very authentic. The service was awesome. The view is incredible. Cannot beat this restaurant.  Nathaniel was an absolutely amazing server. You won’t regret coming here.

    Cafe Portofino was an excellent choice to ring in the new year! The food was delicious! We even got served an hour earlier than our reservation! They were extremely accommodating when we arrived much earlier than we expected. Highly recommended this establishment. Alan and Diane Hyatt Augusta, Georgia

    My wife and I are from Chicago and have eaten at many top rated Italian restaurants. Café Portofino ranks right up there as an excellent choice for Italian food. The food was absolutely delicious and the setting on the bay was beautiful. Giuseppe, the owner, cares deeply about his restaurant and wants everyone to have a great meal and phenomenal experience. We highly recommend Café Portofino.

    The service was excellent and the food was good but the lasagna was the best we’ve EVER had! It’s made fresh daily and it’s so effin good!! I highly recommend this place and the lasagna!

    Unmatched setting. Great menu. Only disappointment was the cost of the pasta dishes at ~$25 for spaghetti

    Linguine vongole was good. Clam was tasty, not fishy. Portion might be on the small side for some people. It was fine for me. Veal marsala was good, but sauce was little sweet for my taste. Tiramisu was good.

    Great view, but food is just not good. Mozzarella sticks came out cold, not fully cooked. Calamari had no flavor and lasagna was decent, but not worth the money. Go to Dukes instead fir the great view and better food.

    The server was not the most pleasant. She never asked us if we wanted more bread, or any more drinks. When we asked her to split the bill in 2 separate checks she was clearly put out and it showed. She ended up splitting it in 3 ways and came back with an attitude. Not what we wanted or needed during Christmas Eve. So menu over priced, staff with an attitude..not coming back.
