   Cafe Monarch was a outstanding experience. Starting with free valet parking, the restaurant has a peaceful fountain by a French door entrance. The hostess greeted us kindly and showed us to our seats at the bar. We prefer bar seating as we can sit side-by-side and have a more personal experience with the staff. The bar has an amazing assortment of liquor including full ranges of gin, vodka, whiskies and scotches and accompaniments. Our two bar tenders were very friendly without being intrusive. They let us get settled in with complementary bubbles and explained the dinner menu. The menu is a Prix Fix offering with a choice of either four or eight courses. The quantity of food on the two menus is nearly the same, so we chose the eight course dinner with more small bite choices on offer. As we needed to make modifications due to gluten and caviar allergies, the kitchen did an excellent job of adjusting the courses. We had chefs treat oyster, the autumn soup; sesame tuna; shrimp with grilled pineapple, avocado and radish; diver scallop with squash and pine nuts; a pleasant palate cleanser with lemon sorbet, berries and hibiscus; pork belly with apple, current, peppers and goat cheese; lamb chops with carrot, spinach and brioche; and A5 Wagyu filet mignon and short rib, bell pepper, and broccolini. Desert was a Chocolate cream with cookie. We had the Petite Fours with coffee and tea. At $290 it was a worthwhile and outstanding feast. We are planning to return to Cafe Monarch when next in Phoenix.

   Server, Todd, and his entire team were absolutely perfect! Every course was phenomenal. Another wonderful experience from the Valet to the final Thank you and Goodbye. Best place in Arizona!

   Yet another memorable dining experience at Cafe Monarch. The food, service & ambience all result in an unforgettable evening. We've been coming to Cafe Monarch for years, including their previous space across the street. It has stayed consistently remarkable. Special shout out to our service team, led by Scott.    Superior dining experience! Food was exceptional in taste, quality, color, plating and presentation. Service by Ricky was friendly, personable and engaging. He made us feel super special and loved how he was down to earth and not stuffy. Ambiance was gorgeous! Staff was professional yet friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

   I had an exceptional birthday celebration with my family. Gio, our server started the evening off with a lot of good wishes and he was exceptionally welcoming. His entire team worked seamlessly together to make sure everything was served with an appreciation of the ingredients and flavors. The lamb was melt in your mouth fantastic. The dessert was a magnificent apple tart in the shape of a rose with some eggnog infused ice cream. I would recommend this restaurant as a must for anyone celebrating a special event. Fantastic!!!

   We have been coming here for our anniversary for 4 years in a row. It’s our go to spot for the best overall experience. It’s a very romantic spot. The courtyard is beautiful and warm if you are worried about being cold. Ricky was our waiter and his service, professionalism was outstanding. Their bar is small but intimate with great mixologists that know their stuff. Highly recommend!

    This has always been our favorite restaurant, for food and service. Last night was very disappointing. Food tasted excellent and was beautifully presented, however, nothing was hot- all lukewarm. To say the service was slow is an understatement. Our waiter was very very nice, but rarely available, and a simple order of 2 glasses of champagne took a silly amount of time. We were tempted to go to the bar and order it. I don't understand what has changed since we were there last spring- it was fabulous then.
