Recently taking home the 2019 Top Chef of the Culinary Coast for the second year in a row was Café Azafran, their quality of food and freshness speaks for itself. We had an excellent meal last night!! Our server was friendly immediately brought us olives, then olive oil and bread and made sure our experience was perfect. Vegetarian friendly, and the spaghetti squash puttanesca was outstanding. Although listed as a tapas item it could definitely be a main course. Also ratatouille and, vegetarian paella and kale bruschetta were delicious.

We really enjoyed our dinner we had there. Our waiter was amazing. The food was very fresh and came out nice and hot. He made a good wine recommendation. I messed up on the time of our reservation and we showed up a half an hour late, but they were still able to see us, which was great! We’re looking forward to going back.

Always a great experience because the food is exceptional, the staff is aware and helpful and we feel as part of a community whenever we engage with the others nearby. Cafe Azafran is one of our go-to places for Mediterranean culinary delights.

We were taken right on time and escorted to a cozy table for two. Our waiter, Umat, arrived immediately with water & the menu. He was very courteous and attentive throughout the evening. Overall, a great experience.

Had the Wednesday prefix meal. The first course was crab cakes (3) which were delicious. We had the grilled seafood mix for the second course. A generous portion of salmon, 2 scallops and 2 large shrimp, paired with whipped mashed potatoes and asparagus. It couldn’t have been better… and for only $30 per person. A great value. They will also pair wine with the meal. Yum.

We eat here often and it is always excellent!! The only time we were disappointed is with an espresso martini we ordered, it was just watery coffee and almost no alcohol, we won’t be ordering that again but 99.99% of the time the entire experience is 100% and we can highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant, we keep going back and we agree it is our all time favorite spot!

The apps are great and the beet and carrots salad was excellent. We sat in the rear section of the restaurant and there was some loud people nearby.

The clams appetizer was awesome, and enough for a meal, as was the baked goat cheese. By the time our meals came, which were also awesome, we were full. My husband had the rockfish, which was the best he ever had. I had a salad which was very good. We highly recommend Cafe Azafran.
