   Went to Brydie’s tonight and our experience was outstanding. Started with a bowl of wholesome Onion Soup then a mouthwatering Hokkaido Scallop and concluded with a Glazed Whole Duck. Would definitely go back to see how they evolved. Our waitress, Ashley, said they are still evaluating what works and what doesn’t

   Really enjoyed our dinner here. First time going - the drinks were very good, we really liked the onion soup. And then our entrees were both very good too. It's a little pricey, but it IS fine dining so we felt it was worth it. We plan to go back!

   Dinner was great. Apps and salads were great. Cocktails were great. Probably the best manhattan in town besides the one we make at home. Looking forward to going back soon!

   We had a fantastic dinner. Very unique menu, nothing like it in Louisville. Every dish was amazing We will be back!

   Dining at Byrdie’s was an outstanding experience. The service was the best I’ve experienced in Louisville in quite awhile. Zack was our waiter, he was terrific. The food was excellent and everything we expect. Our selections were prepared with very good ingredients and combinations by the chef. We will definitely return. I highly recommend.

   We first had a drink at Bar Genevieve which was wonderful. Bartender was knowledgeable and very friendly. We will be back there. On to Byrdie’s; not a good experience at all!! Manager was wonderful and very accommodating. Our server, Alek was pleasant but had no knowledge of wine or liquor. We were very disappointed in wine selection (only one Pinot Noir and only by the bottle). For the restaurant to be French, the wines were not French for the most part. The bourbon selection was very disappointing; the two that we liked were $25/glass. The server told us that the reason for limited selection was that the bar was small??? We visited for awhile before we ordered. When we were ready to order, a new server said she was replacing Alek. She was very pleasant, like Alek and took our orders. We both ordered Steak Frites and one salad. We waited and waited, watching people who had come in way after us get served. We finally called the manager over to ask about our order and the server had forgotten to turn it in. She apologized profusely and assured us that it wouldn’t be too long. She did offer us another drink during our wait. It was probably 15 mins or so when we got our food. The house salad was tasty, but mounded with way too much lettuce. The steak frites were both cooked to order and tasty, somewhat worth the wait. The manager did comp most of our dinner, which was very nice, but the whole experience was not what we expected. We will not be back.

   This was a birthday celebration and what a great place for a birthday dinner. Beautiful restaurant in a unique hotel in NuLu. Very good service and the food was great.

   Just awful. Thankfully a good bottle of Cava. Certainly did not feel, look, or taste like a Michelin star chef was in charge. Really disappointed.

   Only open a few weeks Byrdies was very good. It has potential to be excellent. A bit more training for staff & attention to detail is needed. Menu options are terrific, need to be available. We look forward to experiencing again.

    The service was excellent. The French onion soup, celery root soup, house salad, salmon, and steak frites were all excellent. The turbot filet, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired — it had many bones and tasted fishy. The latter was unfortunate because otherwise, we had a great experience.
