We had the Tomahawk Steak, but I don’t know if they have changed suppliers of the meat but wasn’t as good as it was last year. The steak was well cooked, so it was the meat that was of poorer quality rather than how it was cooked. Staff nice and helpful and well cooked food - just poorer quality meat in my opinion - both myself and my wife found it to be a little ‘chewy’ and not as tasty as last trip.

My wife and I shared the Chateaubriand. It was perfectly cooked and the sides were also great. We took a mix of chips, mash and veg and the portion sizes were very generous too. We shared bread, olives and philly cheese wraps to start and these were also great. The olives were as good as any I've had. A special wee note to our waiter Stephen who was very attentive, had a great way about him but also wasn't intrusive. Overall, we had a great meal and dining experience.

We ordered the special Tuesday deal of a rump steak with chips and dip as well as a burger with chips. Along with this comes a bottle of wine, or you can substitute for soft drinks or Heineken. The quality and presentation of both meals was fabulous. The steak, cooked exactly as requested, melted in the mouth, as did the delicious beefburger. A side of incredible onion rings rounded off this delicious course. Dessert was a banoffi sundae which was 90% cream, and although it looked stunning I would not order this again, due to a tiny percentage of ice cream. It would be perfect for lovers of cream. All in all we had a lovely time in peaceful, relaxing surroundings and will definitely return for the fabulous mains and sides.
