What started as a family affair with Yaya's recipes has evolved into a modern representation of the Greek culinary scene. The last couple of years, Greece has transformed into something so uniquely beautiful; allowing the influence of contemporary ideas while always preserving the warm culture and tradition of its people.

    We are never disappointed at Broken Plate ! The food is always spectacular .. the servers very kind and courteous and yet professional You truly feel like family when you dine here! We keep coming back as it’s one of our favourite restaurants in Calgary

    This is definitely our favourite place to celebrate special occasions. Tonight was no exception. The service and food were both exceptional as usual. We both had the zeus chicken which never dissapoints. The calamari greek salad started us off. Wine selection is very good too. Looking forward to another year of great food and good times at the Broken Plate.

    We had a very nice dinning experience. We reserved for our Anniversary and I was surprised that the receptionist received us with Anniversary wishes, which mean that she read our reservation notes. We started with the Spanakopita, my wife had the souvlaki lamb, I had the lamb shank. For dessert we had the cheese cake and the baklava. Everything was tasty and delicious. The atmosphere was nice, not too noisy and our server Melissa was very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. She did an outstanding job, knowing her menu, the drink menu and gave us some advise during the meal. We got to break a plate in an area after the meal according to the Greek tradition. It was a great dinning experience all together and we highly recommend The Broken Plate to anyone who looks for an awesome dinning experience.

    If you have not tried the Broken Plate you must go! The food is DELICIOUS 😁 We started with Greek fries, the Greek cheese that they light on fire and octopus Everything was hot, fresh, flavourful and mouth watering delicious😁 Our main course, moussaka and Greek salad. Broken Plate’s moussaka is simply the absolute best! They spend days preparing this dish! It is outstanding! The meat and spices with the eggplant, zucchini and béchamel sauce all together it tastes so good I want to cry tears of joy! This restaurant has the best Greek food in Calgary! The ambience is a lot of fun! It was very busy ( as it usually is ) and the music was a little loud but it was Saturday night. My one disappointment was to find out that they no longer offer their beet salad. It was the very very best beet salad I have ever tasted in my life. Please consider bringing it back to the menu. We loved chatting with our friendly server Percy🥰 he was fun and attentive. Thank-you Broken Plate for another 10 out of 10 dining experience. See you again soon, Annie and Vik

    Great dinner, food and service was excellent. Friend had the rigatoni and I had the chicken souvlaki. Saganaki was a great starter. Will be back.
