4 of us dined on Christmas Day. The menu was limited to 16 items, which is fine as long as it’s prepared well. Prime rib was on the menu but the selection of wine was limited to 5 whites and a Pinot Noir. ?! Why not a Cab to go with the red meat?
The appetizer was only on our table for 30 seconds before 2 orders of prime rib were dropped. Then a couple minutes later the other two entrees arrived. Clearly no one thought to time things out, nor drop entrees at the same time.
We refilled our own water glasses as no one noticed the glasses were empty.
The salmon was overcooked, the risotto was mucky, the thumb-sized asparagus wasn’t shaved and the stalks were very woody, the shrimp was overcooked, the linguini was soggy, and the well-done slices of prime rib were hidden under the properly cooked slices.
I’ve never eaten here before so I have no idea if this was a typical experience, but Brim House should probably not be open on holidays.

The restaurant had no idea how to time courses. Salads came after main course and the appetizer came after that.
We ended up sending the salad and appetizer back since it came after the meal.
We both ordered prime rib. It tasted good, but was served below temp.
I’m grateful they were open for Christmas, but wish they didn’t make so many mistakes.

I never had a meal at Brim House but saw the advertisement for their Thanksgiving dinner. Usually they only serve breakfast, lunch and brunch. I didn’t know what to expect but our experience with the food, service and ambiance were all first rate. The only complaint I have is that I wish they were open for dinner because the bar looks like it would be fun. Definitely will return.

Brunch was amazing! The food was tasty and servers were attentive.
Unfortunately, the parking situation at Brim House tainted the entire experience. Despite parking my own vehicle I was asked to give my keys for valet. I was told to text when wrapping up our meal (under 2 hours) to have the car brought out front (where it was just where I left it). The charge that accompanied that text was $17. I am disappointed in the parking situation and will no longer head downtown for brunch or any other event going forward. I know of enough venues with ample parking and no shady fees.

I recently had brunch at Brim with my partner, and our guest. The meeting was both a personal as well as a professional one. We chose the place because we were looking for someplace special and a little upscale for the occasion. We were hosting our guest.
Upon arriving at our table, it became apparent that the tables across from us were not being bussed. Dirty plates and left over food looked as if they had been there for quite awhile.
I asked the server to clear them. Some half hour or so later, I asked again, and finally the tables were cleared.
Our food came out one plate at a time, to the point where each of us literally ate our entrees alone.
Brunch took over two hours just to get our food and eat. We had to leave before my guest was finished for another commitment.
Our guest ordered the shimp creole as recommended and described by our server, but was surprised when it arrived, a version of eggs benedict. The server never indicated this in her description. At least the mis-order was taken off our bill without any attitude.
My omelet came out late and was badly overdone.
We finally received ketchup and hot sauce three quarters of the way through our meal, well after my partner was finished.
At no time did a manager come out, check on us.
My partner and I eat out a lot, business and pleasure, but this was by far the worst experience I've had in quite awhile. As the bill with tip was over a hundred dollars, not truck stop diner prices, I expected a great deal more. I'm sure the server who remained cheerful was not solely to blame, but clearly training and supervision was missing.
