   We wanted to have a nice dinner before a Christmas concert. The coffee was served old and not very warm and while the server was very pleasant and prompt, she struggled when asked about the menu. We ordered the salmon and it was just ok - a little on the dry side. I have been here before so thought I'd try for dinner and while it was pleasant it wasn't anything spectacular.

   Yummy food- great waiter. Only issue was the temperature- either cold or warm- otherwise great experience!

   We were greeted by the three employees at the entrance having a conversation that they started even though they saw us coming through the glass door. Maybe, a petty complaint, but i am greeted better at Walmart than that. Bad start. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The temperature was comfortable even though we were seated near a large window on a cold night. We each order a steak medium rare. They were both cooked closer to medium and my ribeye had more char than I would have liked. We did not send them back as that is not our style. The salad was fine and the smashed fingerlings were Ok also. My wife liked the house made dressing on the salad and the dip that came with the potatoes.

   Absolutely amazing. Our waiter was so cordial, respectful and knowledgeable of the menu and drinks, especially with our daughter’s gluten intolerance. The drinks had plenty of alcohol and were done well- the smoke and sage, espresso martini, Manhattan, and a delicious Riesling. The food flavor and presentation was spot on- we had the artichoke dip (nice to be gluten free except for the flatbread so we could all eat it), short ribs, filet, ribeye, salmon and roast chicken. Did not offer or need any extraneous bread items. For dessert everyone was in heaven with the flourless chocolate cake, salted caramel cheesecakes, chocolate martini and pumpkin crème brûlée. Ambience with the lights and decorating really made for a beautiful evening with family. Thank you.

   Beautiful restaurant. Great wait staff. Comfortable atmosphere. Food was average - ribs were dry and crispy chicken was over cooked.

   So good. You must give it a try. THe scallops and grits is to die for. It's on our top 5 in Milwaukee.
