   The food was delicious. The service was poor. The server did not seem to care and was training another server who did not speak. The main server was quite dismissive and acted like we were a bother. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer. They were delicious. Then I ordered a soup and my main. Well it came out all together. So my main was cold when I finally got to it. The restaurant itself is beautiful and charming, but the service has a negative impact on the kitchen’s hard work.

   We really enjoyed our dining experience. The location in Charleston is very cool and historic, and the interior itself definitely feels special. No TVs... how wonderful for an upscale restaurant! We were seated promptly per our reservation time and table type, our Anniversary was acknowledged with a signed card from the staff, embossed menus, and our server herself as well. Very thoughtful! We enjoyed cocktails, Salade Frisse, French Onion Soup, Beef Bourguignonne, and pan-seared Scallops with a Salad Nicoise. The chef sent us a complimentary side of honey-glazed, roasted carrots which complimented our meal nicely. Everything was delicious, cooked to perfection (ESPECIALLY THE SCALLOPS) and with a diverse and cohesive flavor palette. Our server kept the meal paced leisurely without dragging, and we were there about 1h40m overall which was really nice for a special event. Prices for entrees and most drinks are market correct for Charleston, with significant markup on sides and specialties like cheese and (if my math is correct) $1800/lb caviar sampler so pay attention to what you're spending. All in all, a great choice with zero misses on food or service throughout!

   Excellent ambiance and service though only had the credo and chocolate torte, both of which went well with champagne. We were permitted to stay well beyond closing to celebrate the new year. Definitely would go back.

   You will certainly find the best duck confit and beans in the US here, in my wife’s opinion! I had the steak (filet) frites, which was excellent too! Good wine selection, and professional service complete a memorable meal!

   We had a disappointing experience in June but decided to celebrate our anniversary there again this year because we had a great experience last year for our anniversary. Last year we were given a glass of champagne, this year we were wished a happy anniversary. I could not finish my chicken dinner and found when we got home that only the dry chicken was in the take home box - not even one of the delicious mushrooms that had been left on my plate. Very disappointing. I doubt we’ll go back.

   Lovely evening. Sat at the counter and it was nice to watch the food being prepared. So well orchestrated! And everything tasted great!

   The quiche was tasty. My husband had the crab salad- large portions and had a nice taste. The hot sticky bun was a good way to end the meal.,

    The burger was just ok. The steak frites was ok but sloppily presented. The French onion soup was basically inedible - burnt onions and almost all croutons. We visit often and hope it was just an off night.
