Our experience at the Four Seasons restaurant was just okay. We had higher expectations given its reputation. While three of our guests enjoyed their meals, the other three of us, myself included, were left disappointed. We were particularly eager to try the pumpkin gnocchi, only to find out that it had been removed from the menu nearly two weeks prior. This was quite disappointing, especially since we felt the restaurant should have communicated this change or reprinted the menus. Overall, we found the meal to be overpriced for what we received. On a positive note, the staff was attentive and provided good service throughout our visit.

Food undercooked. Took over an hour to get our meal. Food was on the cool side. At current prices, value is very poor.

Oysters were great, kids menu has a larger selection including healthy options. Tom Yum soup was great. A little pricey but as expected given its inside Four Seasons.

I wanted to share my experience at Braidwood, but I must admit it’s difficult given the overwhelmingly negative aspects. Unfortunately, my visit was quite disappointing and left me frustrated. Upon arrival, the foyer was bustling with a large party of about 20 guests. The adults were drinking and shouting, seemingly oblivious to the approximately eight children nearby, who were engrossed in their devices and munching on neglected chicken strips. It made for a rather chaotic atmosphere. Initially, we were seated next to this rowdy group at a coffee table, but we chose to wait for a proper table, which ultimately placed us adjacent to the same noise. The volume was so high that I wished I had brought earplugs. Thankfully, once the families departed, the environment became more manageable. While our server was incredibly positive and friendly, the food was a letdown. The focaccia, though not traditional, was acceptable with some olive oil. However, the gnocchi lacked any flavor—just a bowl of flour and sour cranberries, which I politely returned to the kitchen with apologies. I inquired about warm desserts and chose the apple toffee pudding, only to find it was essentially a cold cake with unheated apples. The coffee, however, was a bright spot, flavorful and hot, and truly the highlight of the meal. Regrettably, I don’t foresee returning for dinner here. My experiences at the Fairmont have set a much higher standard for both food and overall ambiance.

Dear Brianna, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re truly sorry to hear that your visit didn’t meet expectations. We’ll certainly take note of the atmosphere you encountered and ensure we’re better managing the space for a more enjoyable dining experience in the future. We’re also disappointed to hear that the food didn’t live up to the quality we strive for. Your feedback about the gnocchi and dessert is valuable, and we’ll be sure to share it with our kitchen team. Best regards, Braidwood Tavern Team

I wish I had known about the recent change in menu and focus on fine dining/prices before we reserved and showed up. We used to come here a lot but we’re disappointed in the change. This place no longer has a pub/tavern vibe despite its name. The new menu is high-end with a small selection at high prices. We had to ask for a separate (smaller) bar menu to order pub fare like burgers. I had a wagyu cheeseburger which honestly wasn’t even that great. It was overdone and undergarnished. (The truffle fries were delicious though). Cocktails were good (and Four Seasons priced). But I miss the casual vibe of the former iteration. If I wanted cloth tablecloths and $60-120 entrees I’d walk a little further in to the hotel and go to Sidecut.
