Set in the 'Garden Village' at Tankardstown, Brabazon Restaurant has become a true destination for diners and lives long in the memory of all who visit.
Head Chef János Sárközi and his team offer a culinary experience based on seasonality and local produce; some of which is derived from the estates own kitchen garden and polytunnels.
A la carte and Tasting menu for lunch can be enjoyed Friday and Saturday from 1pm to 3pm, and for dinner Thursday to Sunday. Afternoon Tea is also served Thursday from 1pm to 3pm.
Guests can dine on the terrace in Summer when the weather permitted, in the intimate surrounds, beside the open fire during the winter months or in the new Morris Suite.
With recent accolades including 2AA Rosettes and RAI’s Best Hotel Restaurant in Meath and Best Chef in Meath, Brabazon Restaurant offers diners a feast for the eyes and the palate.

    Enjoy this on from Thursday to Saturday from 1pm to 3pm, served in the beautiful surrounds of the Morris Suite at Brabazon Restaurant. Our traditional Afternoon Tea stand features a delightful assortment of scrumptious sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and an array of irresistible bakes and cakes. Served with a selection of freshly brewed teas, both classic and exotic, to satisfy your palate. For a truly special occasion, we recommend adding a glass of refreshing Prosecco or Deutz Champagne. Please be aware the minimum advance reservation time for Afternoon Tea is 24h and the menu is not suitable for vegan, diabetic or coeliac.

    Very good. Moved up a couple of notches in the past 2 years. Could be looking at a Michelin star soon. Please visit if you are in the Boyne Valley Meath / Louth area.

    The food at Brabazone is a delightful fusion of flavours, with fresh ingredients and cosy atmosphere. Exceptional service....the staff were excellent, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal. Will be going back for sure⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Amazing food, fabulous service and a wonderful all round experience. Buried deep in the heart of rural Meath this place is a hidden gem of the highest possible order. It’s high quality fine dining in a stunning location but great value for money. If you like special food then make the effort to go and find this place, it’s worth travelling for. Spend the little extra to get the chefs table experience, it’s worth it. You’ll see just how passionate and talented the team are at close quarters. Absolutely loved it!

    What a dreadful Sunday lunch we had at this restaurant, the starter was good but the main course was just so bad, 3 of us had fillet of beef with yorkshire puds. The beef was just like a rasher of bacon and cold and the horshradish mash was just ok. The really sorry thing was the roast potatoes, I had great difficulty in cutting them and gave up in the end. They were so hard and cooked for hours. Nothing about this meal was "fresh". The roasties had been cooked for hours, Not an experience I would wish to repeat and at €44 for a 3 course Sunday Lunch utterly ridiculous

    We had afternoon tea and it was amazing. Great selection of savouries and sweet treats. The two lovely ladies serving the afternoon tea were very pleasant and very informative about Thomastown House and its beautiful gardens. We will definitely be returning!!

    We visited this evening for our wedding Anniversary. We both had a very enjoyable night while sitting at the Chefs table. We loved it. 😊 The food was just fantastic. The meats were tender and seasoned to perfection. The pasta was al dente and the vegetables were just sublime. Our fish dish was equally top notch. Lots of the ingredients were sourced from the grounds of Tankardstown. The desserts were just heavenly. You can see that Johnny and his team work really hard. It’s all in the detail. Thank you Johnny and the rest of the guys for a very memorable evening. We’ll be back without a doubt. We’d Highly recommend a visit. Thanks again K&B

    Fabulous afternoon dinner. Food is great, service is impeccible, decor is gorgeous and bright. The atrium brings in so much light. Couldnt have asked for a better meal and afternoon.
