The dead come to life at Borracha. With decorative and festival skulls watching over guests, Borracha, located in Green Valley Ranch, is as dangerous as you want it to be. With a nod toward the famed Day of the Dead, the Borracha offers Mexican-inspired dishes and features a drink menu with an abundance of cervezas, tequila and specialty cocktails to take the edge off. The menu is as seductive as the surroundings, featuring sharable plates, inventive burritos and entrees that would make any skeleton want come back to life. Made-from-scratch tortillas and addictive tacos featuring rotisserie chicken, slow-cooked short ribs and fresh Baja fish gives your palate and explosion of flavor. A hand-painted floor and wraparound mural brings life to the intimate lounge and brings a festive vibe to the celebratory space.

    Made reservations for 6pm and walked up at 5:50pm and we were made to wait 10 minutes even though there were plenty of open tables. Loud environment and we were seated next to a large table of children for the soccer tournament and (not the restaurant’s fault) the were yelling a lot so it want the dining experience we had hoped. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our margaritas were very good. We ordered some he shrimp tacos appetizer and it was very flavorful. We ordered the queso dip next and it was just ok. Not worth the money for cheese in my opinion. He chips and salsa were very good. Overall we spent around $100 for two drinks and two apps with tax and tip. But it was in the casino so kind of expected. I will note they have $21 all you can drink margaritas on Saturdays and Sundays until 5pm and that is a good deal!

    Middle of the road in all aspects. Food was flavorful but portion size on one plate was huge and on the other small. The chips were great! The drinks were good. Not some place I would revisit since it was pretty pricey for what you got.
