   Excellent food and server. Unfriendly hostess who also had an attitude that I asked to be reseated someplace not by the back hallway.

   We were blessed to score a table of (6) last minute. Unfortunately there were (2) parties/gatherings happening at the same time causing the noise level to be a bit louder than we wanted. Our server was exceptional and kind. She described the menu to (6) Hawaiʻi residents that had either none or little Spanish cuisine experience. The food was delectable and the explosion of flavors danced on our palettes that made us wish we found the restaurant earlier in our trip. I highly recommend the restaurant. EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious! I will definitely go back on my next DC trip.

   We had a large group and the last part of our group was arriving late from the west coast, so we had to get the latest possible reservation. The staff was friendly even though we most likely would be staying right until closing on a Thursday night. We didn’t feel rushed by any of the staff. The food came out quickly and it all tasted delicious. The four stars is because although the paella tasted really good, it wasn’t exactly the same as what we had when we used to go to the Flatiron location. The socorrat wasn’t crispy and the flavour wasn’t as intense. But, the rice was NOT clumpy and all of the seafood was perfectly cooked. The paella was definitely the star for everyone at the table. The mushroom croquetas were just as delicious. Overall, the dinner was very enjoyable for everyone. Nos vemos pronto!

   We have been coming to Boqueria for years and always order the meat and cheese platter, however, for our last last three or so visits the platter has changed. Count dow on the tomato bread, cheese pieces are thin and small, you can see through the cheese. We enjoy Boqueria, the servers and management are wonderful and pleasant, but the platter is a miss now.

   The place has nice decor and the server was great. Unfortunately the food did not match. A minute amount of cheese when ordered Manchego, Caña de Cabra. The accompanying items on the plate were just disappointing and somewhat tasteless… apart from the pan con tomate, which was laced with too much garlic. Thankfully we didn’t order anything else ahead of time, giving us chance to pay the bill from the table and walk 400 yards to Five Guys, for the evening’s main event.
