About this restaurant

  • Dog-friendly
  • Lively
  • Great for creative cocktails
Boozehounds Palm Springs was established in 2020 and has served as a go-to restaurant for dog owners from LA, San Diego, Coachella Valley, and beyond.
Boozehounds was started by friends for one simple reason… they loved dogs and dreamed of owning a place where people could take their pups, enjoy an awesome cocktail or fab meal, and socialize in style. Making sure the pup was the real VIP of course! Choose from the sexy and stylish dining room and lounge facing the gorgeous San Jacinto mountains, dine in the open-air atrium, or enjoy the picturesque vacation vibes at the cabana bar and patio. Who doesn’t love a little mai tai moment?
Both the Atrium and Patio are dog-friendly zones and offer water bowls and a pup-friendly menu. Please note all indoor spaces are human only.

We’ve been here quite a few times- it’s a cute place but inconsistent. The food is made of quality ingredients but when it’s busy, it’s cranked out and barebones, or overcooked. When it’s chill- it’s well executed. Don’t get the smashburger - it’s really just a smaller-scale dbl cheeseburger- nothing like a smashburger at all. Sometimes the fried chicken options are dry and overcooked- other times, perfect. The waffle was soggy and limp/ deflated but again - it was busy. We’ve had it when it was fresh and much better. The ambience is typically good/ lively - and dogs are a bonus- the cocktails more froofy, flavored or sweet than they are strong… so it depends on what your mood is. The bathroom def needed cleaning (+air freshener!!) - but it was very active this time- so they may have just been too swamped during the 90min or so we were there… net-net: we will return- it’s just not on the “absolutely” list for visitors (we are local.)

All the food came at the same time when we asked for the apps and mains to be paced. The food wasn’t fresh and presented in a thrown together way. We had empty glasses and plates sitting at our table for a long period. The ice tea tasted like it had been brewed from previous brewed tea and tasted horrible. I love the idea and ambiance of the location but the food and service will make me rethink going in the future. I’ve dined her over the last four years and seems to be declining. I live locally and want to continue to support it but after this experience, I can justify the value.

Hosts were kind when we walked in and then we were easily forgotten and weren’t given a table for about 20 min even with a reservation. Super noisy in there and hard to have nice conversation at the table. When we got a table, our paper menus were crumpled up and drink prices were too steep. Walked out and didn’t regret it.
